Jable Bermudas

"We stayed at Jable Bermudas and, overall, had a lovely holiday. As we didn’t arrive until after 10pm, reception had already closed. We were met outside by a man who showed us where to go, which felt a little strange at first, but everything was fine. The location is fantastic and very central to everything. The beach, old town and new town are all within easy reach, with plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. We even walked to Rancho Texas, which is around 1.5 miles away. The apartment had everything we needed, although it was quite dated. We had a sea-view apartment on the second floor, which was definitely a bonus. There were quite a lot of cockroaches around the paths, so being on the second floor meant we didn’t have any coming into the room. The pool area was nice, although people reserving sunbeds with towels was frustrating, especially when you wanted to leave for an hour and come back later but couldn’t find a bed. The on-site café was very reasonably priced and served English food, which was ideal if you wanted something quick or didn’t want to go too far. The staff were all lovely and friendly. Now for the few moans! The bath towels were very thin, old and had a strange smell. They were supposed to be replaced every other day, and they were changed on the second day. However, on day four, the cleaners took the old towels but only left us with two bath towels and three bath mats — no hand towels. My son was staying in the apartment next door, and we had to ask for towels for him too. By day six, we still hadn’t received any fresh towels. I think the apartments would benefit from some new bath towels, and the cleaning staff should make sure that every apartment receives the correct number of clean towels as scheduled. Despite these issues, the excellent location, friendly staff and good value café made for an enjoyable stay. With a few updates and improvements to the towel service, this would be better .... despite this Had a lovely time though"
