Secrets Lanzarote Resort and Spa

"As my second visit here my expectations were really high but the hotel did not deliver the second time around. I really want to love the hotel, but quite a few areas need improving to warrant the spend."

"Great Stay, Preferred Club Is Worth the Upgrade We’ve just returned from a very enjoyable week at Secrets Lanzarote and overall had a great experience. We stayed as Preferred Club All Inclusive guests, and I would strongly recommend upgrading if your budget allows. The extra benefits made a significant difference to our stay, including access to the à la carte restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner (rather than dinner only), plus an exclusive Preferred Club pool, sunbed area and bar. Without these benefits, I think our experience would have been quite different. The main World Café buffet was a little disappointing at lunch and dinner, particularly compared to the à la carte options. After our first couple of meals, we chose to dine almost exclusively in the restaurants for the remainder of the holiday, and they were consistently excellent. The hotel itself was generally well maintained and in good condition, although some of the pool areas could benefit from a little refurbishment and cosmetic maintenance. We had a late flight home and appreciated that the hotel offers courtesy rooms in 30-minute slots. There was initially a mix-up with our booking, but the reception team handled the situation professionally and kindly arranged a late check-out instead, which was much appreciated. Overall, a relaxing and enjoyable stay with excellent food, friendly service and worthwhile Preferred Club benefits. We would happily return."

"Great hotel, great food, excellent bar with great food and drink choices, the non-booking restaurants were fantastic with wonderful service throughout the resort - very chilled place. Location was good but Puerto Calero was a bit disappointing. Entertainment was not great"
