"My honest review about the hotel, great location in matagorda hotel right opp the beach which is very lovely the beach. The hotel is a little outdated, the food in the main dining hall was ok as a previous reviewer had said go early bc the food is a lot hotter the later u leave it is very tepid the food temp, breakfast was about the best for me but the snack bar was pretty decent near the pool area. The rooms are a good size we were overlooking the gardens and sea front, plenty of cats about which didn’t bother us. If you fancy a good walk, u can walk to puerto del carmen which is a good hr to the harbour along the coastal path, or another lovely wall down to playa Honda past the airport. Matagorda is a lovely resort it’s quiet at night if u fancy a drink or a meal away from the hotel, most bars have entertainment, bus stop is not far from the hotel, no 3 into puerto del carmen. All in all the hotel was fine especially for the location."

"Family-friendly hotel that impresses with a generous buffet and nice, extremely friendly staff. The three pools are well-maintained and offer plenty of variety, as does the diverse playground. The sea and the beautiful, uncrowded beach are just a few steps away. Despite the proximity to the airport, it is pleasantly quiet at the hotel – ideal for rest and relaxing vacation days. We enjoyed our stay very much and can highly recommend the hotel."
