"hi, what one must remember before reading or writing a review is,,, every one is different, our likes and dislikes, our standards, our backgrounds etc, im a relatively poor man, bottom rung of the ladder, low budget holidays earning £1500 a month for the job i do, so hotel tabaiba is fine for me, ive only ever stayed in off the beaten track low budget places and have never holidayed in the lap of luxury so this review will be understood by people like me rather than you well heeled folks amongst us. but hotel tabaiba is indeed out of the way, 10 mins walk to nearest bar and supermarket and 20 mins to the square, mostly downhill. so location wise, if you dont like walking and would prefer to be in the centre of the action dont stay here, this place is relatively cheap for a reason and location is one of those reasons..the place itself is very clean and tidy, well stocked bar and you can order food from the bar which is reasonably priced, the food is ok but not much more choice than you,d get in a pub back home in the uk, but it suits me.the pool area is quite small but im not one for laying in the sun all day so that didnt bother me either.the rooms themselves are clean tidy and spacious, not as well stocked as my own kitchen cultery and crockery wise but i dont go on holiday to cook so again the facilities in the room didnt bother me but were just about adequate. staff in the hotel were nice enough and helpful, bar close around midnite so dose reception which is fair enough. i think this place should be called tabaiba appartments rather than a hotel, this place is just about a 3 star rating and is better than some of the hovels ive stayed in over the years. its good enough for me and my wife( who is wheelchair bound), i like walking, i push her miles during the day so the location is ok for me, the free shuttle bus is only once around 11am and returns fron tequise around 4.30 pm, the mini cabs are only €3.5 to €4 so it wont break the bank, not even my bank, if youre after a low budget not really fussed holiday then tabaiba will do for you, if you like your fortnight to be more luxurious and close to the action please dont stay at tabaiba. this is a budget 3 star at best hotel, i paid £292 each for my wife and i for a week, we got what we paid for and pribably a little more, if id payed £5 or £600 each id have probably been dissapointed, if you want 5 star then go else where and put your hand in your pockets and, finally remeber this… wether you stay in tabaiba or grand teguise playa(i wish), the moment you set foot outside your holiday accommodation, everyones holiday is the same. as i said im a spanish budget holiday person, ive done this for the last 50yrs or so and have some wonderful memories, tabaiba is good enough for some one like me, it all depends what you want out of your holiday."
