"We arrived late at night check in was straightforward, got to the room was slightly disappointed as it wasn’t the cleanest, the mattresses were hard. We woke up in the morning and I felt like I was crawling with bugs looked at the bedside table and bugs all over it and on the bed! Receptionist sorted it straight away to be fair. Around the pool is slightly run down needs some tlc, most of the sunbeds were in-usable and the lack of parasols was a big issue. The poolside looks dirty and not well maintained but did the job. The all inclusive was ok plenty of choice we had breakfast and lunch in the hotel but choose to go out for our evening meals. We have fallen in love with the area, we will definitely come back here just to a different hotel."

"My first time ever in lanzarote & we booked In at Bluebay! Wow, what a beautiful experience for me and the three children 😊. It's a ⭐️⭐️⭐️ star hotel.. had only ever stayed in 4 or 5s but was probably the the most accommodating place I had ever stayed at! One teeny little thing is yes the sofa beds and a few little things could do with a bit of updating. However, the rest of the place just brilliant 👏 and I mean absolutely brilliant. Pool / outside bar brilliant. All the snacks/ ice cream/ burgers/ hotdogs/ chips / salads ( including a beautiful fish salad some days) cheese, salami the list goes on was beautiful 😍. Buffet was on point. Had everything to suit every taste from fussy eaters to spicy and extravagant eaters! Staff... bar/ reception/ house keeping all so lovely like you had made friends 😊. Best for last... entertainment team Michael & the brilliant gang 👌 wow. We would go there every evening because it was so much fun for the the children and then such laughter for the adults, or sit back and chill.. no pressure. One MASSIVE thing that made it for me and the children is I have a high on the spectrum autism 8 year old daughter and the entertainment team were just brilliant. I informed them and they evolved her by making little sweet chats but never pressure to get up. She just loved watching their antics but not joining in. The bar / restaurant staff outside and in side were also amazing. 👌. Will definitely be going back and taking more family too next time. I actually think the entertainment team made it so good, because you really wouldn't need to leave the complex, I forgot to mention their day time games have something for everyone .. adult games / family games/ in the swimming pool games and dancing, all produced by the entertainment team. Or just sit back on a lounger and chill 😎 I'm going back ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

"My family had a week long stay at BlueBay and had a mixed experience overall. Firstly, the facilities on site are reasonably good. Rooms are a little tired but are decent enough for a week long stay, the pools are decent and entertained three children (7, 4 and 3) for a week. There are plenty of options when it comes to meal times and being able to pour your own beer is great. However, other holiday-goers should be aware that the pools are freezing and barely, if at all, heated. This alone wouldn’t knock the score down to a 3/5 on its own, but coupled with the non-existent customer service from the reception team then it brings down the whole experience. Towards the end of the holiday, a couple of people in our party were vomiting/diarrhoea and, when we asked for more towels and a change of bed sheets, we were bluntly spoken to in a manner that brought one party member to tears. We were told that we should have reported it that morning (before the sickness started). Although we were given some towels and sheets, we were told that was all we would be getting until the next day. As the sickness had started the day before we were due to fly home, we asked for a late check out. This was denied, understandably as the room was already booked for the next guest. When I asked for help with any other local sites or a courtesy room for the five hours between check out and our pick up, the receptionist said no and nothing more. When I then offered to bring the sick individuals to reception for the afternoon, they shrugged their shoulders. Given the lack of help and interest in an already stressful situation, I won’t be returning."
