Ibiza Rocks Hotel

"When we checked in we were informed that we couldn’t get a taxi pre booked from the hotel. We also felt like when we checked in the only concern was paying the taxi and not customer service. We were then informed that for the pool party to reserve a bed which we had already paid for we needed to speak to the events team- at this point the reception was closed. The following day we were told that because there was only 2 of us we were automatically allocated chairs, we can’t understand why this is and why it gives you the option- if we had known we would have booked a three bed bed. However, you can turn up at 12, get an unreserved bed which is free and comfier than the chairs and the alcohol is cheaper as you don’t have a minimum spend. Also, it seemed that nobody was manning reception last night due to Spain winning the World Cup and we needed to get in contact regarding an urgent matter. Finally, the two pool parties- Ibiza anthems and rnb did not play enough old school, it seemed they catered to the younger crowd and we were expecting more 80s/90s."

"Rooms were fine for what we paid but the fact they give you 2 balcony chairs and refuse to give another is ridiculous when providing rooms for 3 people. Location good for San Antonio but found the reception staff to be really rude"

"We visited Ibiza Rocks Hotel for one of the pool events and initially had a really positive experience. Entry was smooth and well organised, the music was fantastic, the atmosphere was brilliant, and the bar staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our visit. Unfortunately, our experience changed significantly when it came time to leave. At 9pm we were informed that the venue was closing and that guests needed to leave the pool area. However, we were specifically told that we would still be able to use the changing rooms afterwards to get changed back into our clothes. We left the poolside before 9pm and headed directly to the female changing facilities. At approximately 9:07pm, two male members of staff entered the women’s changing area telling us that we needed to hurry up and leave immediately while we were in the middle of changing. A female employee present at the time was telling them that this was not acceptable and reassuring us that we were welcome to change there as we had been instructed. Despite this, more male staff members entered and continued shouting at us to hurry up and leave. We were then escorted out by security. For context, we were a group of five women in our late 30s and early 40s who had been at the venue for only a couple of hours and had shared only a few drinks between us. We were calm, cooperative and simply trying to get changed after being told that we could do so. The way we were treated made us feel like criminals. More importantly, having male staff repeatedly enter the female changing area while we were changing felt highly inappropriate and left us feeling extremely uncomfortable and vulnerable. To make matters worse, while we were being rushed, another male employee commented that we were “sexy”, which was completely unacceptable in the circumstances. There was also the issue of safety outside the venue. On both our arrival and departure, there were men standing near the entrance openly offering us cocaine. For a venue that appeared to enforce its closing rules so aggressively, it was disappointing to see such little intervention regarding drug dealing taking place immediately outside. Perhaps most frustratingly, by the time we were finally escorted out by security, it was only 9:17pm. In other words, all of this occurred over what amounted to a 17-minute grace period after the official closing time, despite us having followed instructions, left the pool area before 9pm, and simply been trying to get changed as we had been told we were permitted to do. The response felt entirely unnecessary and disproportionate. This could have been a genuinely excellent experience. The music was great, the atmosphere was fun and lively, and many of the staff were lovely. However, the handling of the changing room situation, the behaviour of some male employees, and the lack of attention to the issues outside the venue left us feeling uncomfortable and unsafe. We hope Ibiza Rocks reviews these practices so that women are able to change in a safe environment and future guests do not have a similar experience."
