"This is a genuine review considering the pros and cons as I always read reviews before booking somewhere, so I hope this is helpful. We travelled as 2 females aged 40 seeking a chilled /relaxing 3 night stay.
Pros
• Paid extra for sea view which was worth every penny. Absolutely amazing view from our balcony
• Rooms very clean, fresh towels daily & beds changed.
• Food was varied and tasty, great choice most of the time. Some was freshly cooked in front of you, meats / chicken kebabs etc (you had to queue for this). Great salad selection. One day there was an amazing cheese board selection, crackers, grapes etc. The dining room was not overly busy, we could always get a table easily. There was an amazing candy bar with a selction of different sweets and an ice cream machine. Drinks in the restaurant were self service. Tables were cleared quickly.
• All the staff were very friendly and nice, always served you with a smile.
• Never had an issue getting a lounger. The pool doors don't open until 9am, a small queue started approx 8.50am but it wasn't sunbed wars by any means! It is a very small pool area with a small amount of loungers and most of them do not get much sun. The pool and many of the loungers are in shade for a lot of the day. The beach is literally on the doorstep of the hotel (15€ for lounger) and a lot of people from the hotel seemed to use the beach instead of the pool. Music around the pool was usually quite chilled and not blasting out all day.
• Water taxi is just outside the hotel, €5 pp one way to San Antonio (cost approx €10 back in a taxi). Would highly recommend Tapas Ibiza in San Antonio the food and service is amazing.
• We didn't see much of the entertainment but what we saw was good live music.
Cons
• The token system for drinks is terrible and it really irritated us. Plastic cups especially on an evening is awful and the drink quality is very poor, everything is watered down. Cocktails were just premade from a machine and were not that nice. You have to take your used plastic cup back to the bar which they will refill (no fresh glasses even when I took 2 cups - it was just pot luck which you got back which is ok if you don't mind sharing the other person's germs but hardly hygienic). On a couple of occasions they did rinse the cup with cold water before refilling.
• Self catering ("paying") guests were treat like royalty compared to AI guests. They were allowed glasses for wine, gin glasses and decent cocktails. Snack bar items came served in nice baskets and boards etc whereas AI you would get a tiny paper plate with a portion for a 2 yr old and of course your plastic cup! (Which you will end up carrying around with you when the bar closes and you can't get your token back!)
• The toilets around the pool never had soap or paper towels. The general pool area is a bit run down and not exactly picture worthy.
• Wristbands are removed 11am when you check out so bear that in mind if you have booked a package holiday and have a late flight
• No bottled water available on AI (vending machine is €3.50 a bottle in foyer
• No fridge or tea & coffee making facilities in room
• Not much outside the hotel, a few bars etc but none of these open until evening time. We walked along one afternoon to have a drink approx 2pm and there was nowhere open.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel for its location and decent food. I wouldn't personally come back here due to the annoying plastic cup token system (I know many other hotels in Ibiza /Spain do this as well and some people won't find it as irritating as we did lol)."
