Hotel Coral Star

"MUST READ Very disappointing stay. We booked this hotel expecting a relaxing holiday, but unfortunately the accommodation appears unfinished and not ready for guests. Many areas around the hotel look only partially completed, with building materials and loose stones visible around the grounds and pool area. The pool itself contained stones and debris, and we were informed that a guest had cut their foot, which raised serious concerns about safety. Around the pool area, maintenance and cleanliness were not to the standard we expected. Our room had several issues, including a broken shower, a television that did not work, poor Wi-Fi, and ineffective air conditioning. These problems were reported but significantly impacted our stay. There was also an incident where a smoke alarm was activated and the corridor smelt strongly of cannabis afterwards, which was unpleasant and concerning for families staying at the hotel. The food quality was disappointing and did not meet the standard advertised. Overall, the hotel felt unfinished, poorly maintained, and not representative of what we believed we had booked. The choice was very poor for children , the entertainment is also non existent there's a kids disco ... With no lights no action = dissatisfied kids . I would recommend that anyone considering this hotel carefully reviews recent guest feedback before booking. Unfortunately, this was not the holiday experience we were expecting , others were given options to book elsewhere ... But the have clearly rushed an opening thinking they had this under control and on our first day here they had over 50 complaints which speaks for itself ... THIS HOTEL WAS NOT READY AND IS NOT READY. I WAS ALSO ADVISED TO NOT LET THE CHILDREN GO TO THEIR ROOMS ALONE BECAUSE IN OUR BLOCK THERE ARE FLOORS THAT ARE DANGEROUS... ANOTHER HOTEL TENANT WENT THE SAOD DANGEROUS FLOORS WHERE YOU CAN SEE LOOSE WIRES TOOLS AND MANY HUGE SAFETY CONCERNS . ANY CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES OR CURIOUS KIDS WOULD ABSOLUTELY NOT BE SAFE HERE . Do not pack nice shoes they will end up covered I'm rubble dust also .... Anyone with breathing issues please please don't do it for health reasons as everythimg is disty with cement We also got checked in 2 hours and 40 minutes late This is a 3 star"

"Just returned from a week at Coral Star Hotel. Do not listen to bad reviews, we had a fantastic time. I couldn't fault the hotel. The food was amazing eveynight. Each night was a different theme so always something different to eat. All staff were great, all work really hard. The kids loved the entertainers, expecially Lois, he was fantastic with the children. A credit to the hotel. I can't wait to rebook for next year."

"hotel is nice,staff very friendly, rooms and landing need bit of upgrading, if you are planning on clubbing and events in san antonio, mybe this isnt fot you, some evenings you could be over an hour waiting for a taxi, beach nearby and kumahara is lovely , but the street where the hotel and apartments are is really quiet, some closed down businesses, ideal if you want a quiet break, but nor a lively one"
