Grupotel Ibiza Beach Resort

"This hotel is well situated at one end of what is a lovely resort. We selected a junior suite on recomendation of some other reviews which were a little critical of the size of the standard rooms. The bathroom was fine and the walk in shower was more than adequate fot our needs. Perhaps a little more storage space for clothing would not come amiss, but overall the room was fine. Although we travelled on a bed and breakfast basis my wife 's current lack of mobility meant we elected to have dinner in the hotel. The choice of food whilst not the best I've experienced was again more than good. Breakfast was good although I felt a little more choice of breakfast cereal would have been nice, and there was always a decent selection of meat and fish each evening with paella being always available and always nicely presented and tasty. Facilities at the hotel were in the main good. A small gym but again reasonably well equiped with two swimming pools with plenty of sunbeds and parasols. A grassy area near to the restaraunt used during the day provided an extra area to enjoy the sun or shade. Entertainment was provided most nights in the bar or if weather permits outside by the pool overlooking the beach. Most of the acts were entertaining so that is another plus point. ALL the staff here are polite and helpful from the management down and must be complimented on their levels of service. My wife's lack of mobility in a hotel with a number of steps down to the beach did spoil it a little bit, however that is not the fault of the hotel and the lateness of our visit meant some of the restaraunts were already in the process of closing down in any case. Nevertheless Portinax is a lovely quiet resort and the hotel is lively but not overbearing, and it's only my wife's mobility issues that are stopping me booking this hotel and resort again. I would like to yet again thank all at the hotel for their help and kindness during our stay."

"We had a week here at the end of September and had a fabulous time. We found the hotel staff to be very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We had a partial seaview room and it's definitely worth the extra cost. The room was very clean and comfortable. We were there on a bed and breakfast basis and didn't eat in the hotel in the evening so can't comment on evening meals. The breakfasts were excellent, plenty of choice and everything replenished regularly. There were plenty of sunbeds available but maybe because it was late in the season. Pool towels are provided and can be changed daily between certain hours. There is a safe in every room. You need to pay a returnable deposit of 10 euros and 1 euro 50 per day for the rental. There are 40+ steps up from the beach to the hotel and the pool area so it may not be suitable for some. There are some good restaurants nearby, although some places are, unfortunately, moving away from traditional spanish food. This might suit some people but we tend to go where local food is being served. All in all, an excellent holiday and we would certainly go back to this hotel."

"What a fantastic week we have had at this fabulous hotel. We were here in June and enjoyed it so much we decided to return in September. Our seaview room was so clean and comfortable with brilliant views over the prettiest bay in Portinatx. Food in the hotel restaurant was excellent and the staff are great. We loved spending our days on the beach. The sea is crystal clear and so inviting. The sunsets outside Zulu lounge bar and S'Arenal bar are breathtaking. We were so lucky with the weather. Sunshine every day. There's a wonderful little gift shop opposite the hotel called Tot Styl. I love browsing and buying little gifts to take home. Bought several small bottles of Herbas Ibiza. The two ladies in the shop are so lovely and they now stock drinks and food items as well. We met some really friendly people on this trip and on the Sunday we spotted the tiny Pomeranian dog we had first seen in June. There it was with it's family paddling in the sea. A perfect week in Portinatx. Can't wait to go back next year."
