"The Camari Garden Hotel was a wonderful place to stay! The location is about 15-20 minutes outside of the city, and regular buses run from outside the hotel, bus tickets can be bought from the shop onsite too. We arrived in the very early hours of the morning and were welcomed at check in. We stayed in Room 207 which was lovely. Loads of space with a kitchenette, small table, a couple of day beds, a bathroom with a shower and a double bedroom leading onto the terrace which we could see the sea from our room. If you plan on using the kitchen I'd advise taking some washing up liquid, sponges, maybe some salt and pepper, and a couple of tea towels. The pools were lovely and we never had to fight for a sunbed, though we still got up early to get a couple. There's a small beach down the hill which is gorgeous and where many of the locals have their morning swim. We bought a small umbrella from the shop as there's no shade at the beach. The bottom pool tended to be more for adults and the kids tended to stay at the top pool. The bar and restaurant onsite were great, and the staff are absolutely amazing! So friendly and welcoming, and you'll have to do partake in nightly shots before heading to bed! We can see why many people return here year after year and would definitely recommend staying here, and we hope to return one day too!"

"Lovely family run hotel. As a solo traveller looking for a relaxing week I felt very safe and welcomed by a lot of the regulars. Ideal location just outside Rethymnon so you can choose to stay in the area of the hotel where there is a small beach and a local village with a few tavernas, or you can get the bus just outside the hotel into Rethymnon. Great location on the island to pick up day trips too."

"Absolutely perfect great family run hotel food was great service was great would recommend and will go back again My wife is celiac and nothing was a problem to them I went with family and my nearly 3 year old granddaughter and she loved the pools They had their own shop and prices where really good shame only went for a week Big thank you at Camari Gardens for a great time"
