Palladium Hotel Cala Llonga

"Worst attitude from pool bar staff I have ever witnessed. Actually shouting at customers. Would not return."

"We had a wonderful holiday here at the palladium. The views are absolutely stunning . We had a deluxe twin with sea views . This was at the side of the hotel it was great . There are bigger rooms at the front with full sea view but more expensive and we didn't realise they did upgrades if available on request. The food was absolutely amazing it was always fresh . Lots of variety and choice . Fruits ,salads, puddings , rice dishes ,steak , pork chicken , lamb shanks , fajitas fish lots of fresh salmon. the list goes on The restaurant was well organised and the staff worked very hard clearing and getting drinks for guests . The bedroom room was a little small but we managed . The cleaner replaced towels daily but didn't sweep up the room which was disappointing when been to the beach and sand is everywhere. They dont replenish tea and coffee so we had that from the restaurant. You get welcome cans of water in the mini fridge on arrival. The shower was ok just the grout work needs updating just looks old and mouldy . Air-conditioning is brilliant. The pool area looks very tired needs a complete refurbishment. The walkways have very poorly fitted wooded decking boards all very loose . Plenty of loungers no lounger wars at all . Didn't matter what time of the day you could always get one . Plenty of umbrellas. Lovely walk way to the beach about 5 minutes if your mobility is not good the path is a bit un even and very dark at night . We were disappointed that the lobby bar was not open our entire stay . We could only sit at the pool bar all day and evening which was a shame as sat their in swim wear during day and nice clothes in the evening. Wasn't much atmosphere in the evening entertainment was ok crazy daizy were the best singers . They have lovely furniture at the pool bar nice lamps that were never lit in the evening. Would have made a better ambiance for the evenings instead of big spot lights like your sat in a bingo hall . The weather turned on our last day heavy rain and wind . They did put sides on the pool bar but all the furniture outside was soaking wet and not enough seats inside for guests. The lobby bar should open during bad weather so you can be warm and dry . There is areas you can sit in reception but as I say the lobby bar was closed we weren't told this when we checked in . Also dissapointed that not all cocktails are on the inclusive package. You have to pay for majito €8.20 one of my favourites 😒 Also any premium drinks ie pink gin etc is payable. Reception staff are very friendly and welcoming. The cleaning staff are also friendly and keep the hotel clean just the ones we had in room 302 did very little in the room . We keep it tidy anyway but it was just the sand on the floor and we made our own beds as a few times they didn't do it . Had no toilet tissue one day either so it was a bit hit and miss . On the whole it was a fantastic holiday stunning location. Nice staff . Food fantastic and drinks. Hotel just needs a bit of up grading especially the pool area . Nice life guard at the pool who gave out the pool towels. On the whole really relaxing holiday beautiful location staff super friendly 👌 just a few niggles but did not ruin our holiday. "This hotel is in a great location, but it is not worth the money we paid . It is not the 4 star hotel that they say it is, when there are mushrooms growing out of the celling and the rooms are not clean, the pool towels are used to mop up liquid in the mens toilets , do they get washed and then used for the pool it's a worry. "
