Harbourfront hotel with a nautical theme
Marina Suites has an idyllic location on Puerto Rico’s yacht harbour, close to a sandy beach and a huge selection of bars, boutiques and restaurants. The hotel designers really capitalised on the setting, giving the entire place a nautical look and feel.
Take the rooms, for example. All bright white and blue, they feature pinstripe prints, rattan furnishings and artwork showcasing sailing scenes.
Two lagoon-like pools weave through the palm-freckled grounds, one set aside just for children. The surrounding terraces house sunbeds and parasols, and there are a few chic Bali daybeds perfect for afternoon naps. Adults can also take advantage of a relaxation area with a Jacuzzi, too. Settle here for a few hours of peace and quiet while the little ones enjoy activities such as ping pong and arts and crafts at the kids’ club.
There's also a gym, a cycling room, table football and billiards, along with a weekly entertainment programme, so you'll never find yourself at a loose end.
A fresh and plentiful buffet breakfast is prepared every morning, while the Atlantic Pool Bar has you covered with a wide range of drinks, snacks and light meals throughout the day. El Puerto Restaurant, meanwhile, serves up top notch seafood and other locally inspired dishes. For a pre-dinner cocktail or one last glass of wine before calling it a night, be sure to stop by the Yacht Club.
