"We are about to check out having been here for 10 days . Honestly from the first day to the last the hotel is impressive .Really helpful friendly staff from managers to reception staff pool bar staff and cleaners .Breakfasts are really nice lots of choice .Rooms are spacious with great self catering facilities. The sunbed situation was a bit tricky with people reserving them early morning and not using them until almost midday however management had were very proactive in resolving this by removing the towels after 45 mins of non occupancy..The hotel is ideally situated by the harbour and within easy reach of Many bars and restaurants.Overall my experience of this hotel is fantastic and I for one will be definitely returning to Puerto Rico and Marina suites a really brilliant holiday experience"

"Absolutely lovely hotel, great location as it's close to everything. Rooms are spacious and cleaned daily. Fantastic infinity pool over looking the sea. Big downfall, if you do not have a sunbed by 8.00am, you probably won't get one. If you put your towels on a sunbed and go for breakfast at the pool bar right beside the sunbeds, you will come back to a sign on your sunbeds stating it is forbidden to reserve them, with a start time written on it! (Even though you are only having your breakfast) so it's forbidden to reserve the beds, unless you are the Clancy family, then you will have special signs in frames put onto beds to RESERVE them for you! Love the hotel, but nowhere near enough sunbeds for the capacity of the hotel."

"It isn't often I disagree with the consensus of opinion on trip advisor, however I do with this hotel and struggle to understand the outstanding reviews that for me are for the very best of hotels, that is not to say the hotel is terrible. There is a review a few before mine that accurately reflects the experience at Marina suites particularly during peak season, the grounds and facilities just aren't big enough at peak season. The hotel is in a perfect position on the coast where the hills are avoided. There is a small cluster of restaurants and an Irish bar 5 mins away, puerto rico beach is 15 minutes away with some quaint bars/restaurants with the lively shopping centre about 30 mins walk away. The hotel is clean with large well appointed rooms that offer lovely views. The breakfast was very good with something for everyone. We only spent 3 days of 10 around the pool, we like to explore, but the pool area is chaos and frankly not enjoyable. I applaud the hotel for enforcing a sunbed policy of removing towels if no return after 45 minutes. However the pool area is that small and cramped there was little that the hotel could do to alleviate the overcrowding. Sunbeds have to be lined up literally side by side in rows with centimeters between each bed. You have to be up and round the pool at 745, the sunbed policy doesn't solve there not being enough, if you don't you won't be able to go around the pool until 2/3pm. As nice as the breakfast was, again it was hectic, also because of the space available. Air-conditioning was just about okay, but not great and getting a taxi from hotel in the evenings is impossible. We wouldn't return to the hotel in peak season."
