Gloria Palace Royal Hotel & Spa

"Enjoyed a lovely 6 night stay at the Gloria Palace Royal Hotel overlooking Playa Amadores in Gran Canaria. It's a nice hotel in 4 Blocks high up against the cliffs with dramatic views over the beautiful bay. We had asked the Hotel for a room in a particular location and that's exactly what we were allocated. The room was clean and spacious with a nice bathroom with rainfall shower. The whole Hotel was clean and had a calm atmosphere; guests were mostly adults but with several families with children. The buffet dining room had a beautiful view over the bay and a good selection of nice food. All staff we encountered were friendly and hard working. Evening entertainment was enjoyable. Playa Amadores Beach is very popular and busy during the day, but very quiet at night. There's a nice path from Amadores to Puerto Rico which takes about half an hour walk. Very good bus service with bus stops below the Hotel. We enjoyed our stay very much and are happy to recommend."

"Visited last year and decided to return this year with an older relative. Had requested rooms in similar location to last year close to each other. Request met perfectly. Rooms next door to each other in Block 4. Communication was perfect. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. Random kitchen area with crockery and microwave? All rooms look to the sea. Spacious balcony. There is some road noise but the views are excellent. Lovely food and drink AI selection. Entertainment was mostly singing this year. Generally ok. Table service in the show bar. It is a steep walk to the beach but easy to do. Larger pool is nice for a swim. A tad cold but amazing views. Smaller pool in the higher area very cold but refreshing on a warm day. 30 minute taxi from airport €60. Eva at the bar and in the restaurant is wonderful. So friendly in helping with Spanish translation. Patrick on the entertainment team is equally amazing. Mogán short taxi ride away or a water taxi from Puerto Rico. Would go back tomorrow."

"We had a lovely time again at the Royal could not fault anything. The only problem was with the shower. Every time we showered it would overflow and flood the bathroom and we had to keep wiping it up with towels. In the end, we did started Navy showering which helped but it was a pain in the butt. Otherwise thanks to all the staff they were all lovely beautiful location spacious room food was good and different choices every day."
