"I have now lost count of the amount of times we have stayed at the GOLD since our first visit in 2019, that is how much we always enjoy our stay there. So what do we love about it: - Location. We can easily walk to the beach and the entertainment centres alike - The staff is always friendly and welcoming. It's so lovely to be recognised upon our return as well! Our last visit was unfortunately over 18 months ago and we were sad to see that there had been some changes in staffing, but such is life. People do move on. - The atmosphere. Having read a few of the more recent review about lack of DJ/entertainment by the pool, I have to say that is exactly what we like about the GOLD. We love the peacefulness. A little oasis of calm away from the hustle and bustle of PDI. I think that has always been the GOLD's forte and if people want a hotel where there's a party by the pool, then maybe this isn't the hotel for them. - The breakfast! Ever since our first stay at the GOLD, I judge other hotels by how their breakfast lives up to this breakfast. It is so good. As for it being a smaller dining area, I don't think that has ever really been an issue. We personally love sitting outside by the pool, rather than outside. It's lovely out there. Our only criticism of the rooms is that storage can be a little awkward. There is plenty of hanging space, but we do struggle to find space for those smaller, looser things like socks or underwear. However, in the scheme of things, that is only minor. We too were at the hotel at the time of the events that lead to the negative reviews. I can only say that we were glad that management took action. As soon as the guests in question were gone, the atmosphere in the hotel improved. It was back to being the chilled out peaceful place we knew. I fully understand why there was a temporary change in rules around topless sunbathing, but even that eased off as the week wore on."

"We’ve just enjoyed our fifth stay at Gold by Marina, and it really does feel like coming home! Every time we return, we’re reminded why we love this place so much. It’s not just the hotel, but the lovely people who make each visit feel special. A very special mention to Javi and Elisabet, who remember us every time we come back. It means so much to be recognised and greeted by familiar faces, and it’s those little personal touches that make us feel like more than just guests. It’s always lovely to see them again! We also want to say a big thank you to the cleaning team, who do such a wonderful job. Our room is always spotless, and you can see how much care they put into what they do. They really go above and beyond, and we appreciate all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes to make our stay comfortable. Everyone at Gold by Marina helps create that warm, welcoming feeling that keeps bringing us back. Five visits later, it still feels just as special, and we honestly wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else! We’re already looking forward to our next trip and can’t wait to be back in April! ❤️ The countdown is on, and we’re excited to see all those familiar faces again. "Excellent location in the heart of everything and very close to the beach. The staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. A great atmosphere, however as it is an adult hotel you are not allowed inflatable loungers in the pool or use your own speakers for music. They did put on a DJ or live music around the pool that was okay but think we would have enjoyed a music that was more upbeat. Rooms are amazing we had a superior suite with a bath. The room was very clean and well presented. It has everything you need and more. The sweets and bath bombs are a very nice touch and appreciated. This was our second visit to the hotel and love it and would fully recommend it."
