"GREAT…….
Lovely huge apartment. Minimalist decor (but I like that).
Well equipped kitchen area.
Personally I’d have had the corner sofa positioned so you could see out of the window and the TV on the other wall. But that’s just me.
Lovely and clean
Friendly reception staff
Comfy bed
Lovely hot shower. A weird thing to say, but one of the few hotels I’ve stayed at where the shower thermostat ACTUALLY WORKED - so you didn’t get scalded one minute and frozen the next!
Ten minutes walk to the beach (but down some steep steps - not for those with walking difficulties or other health problems). You could get a taxi.
Also 10 mins to bars and plenty of food outlets. Yumbo is about 20 mins uphill.
If you want to cook, there’s a massive Hippodino Supermarket market around the corner.
About 3 mins walk to the promenade along the sand dunes - spectacular views
Lovely sun terrace on ground floor. Another on the 5th floor with spectacular views.
Lovely breakfast
Overall the hotel kept everything simple and easy which is just how I like it. No blaring piped music either
EVEN BETTER IF……
The shower in the room didn’t drain very well - meaning the shower tray filled with whatever was in the drain. The cleaner would have seen this coming hen she visited, as the residue stuck to the shower tray. It needed something put down the shower drain eg bleach or unblocked.
It was disappointing that the sun terrace on the 5th floor didn’t have a naturist section. I thought at first it must be because the restaurant in the neighbouring hotel would be able to see onto it (it could still be screened) but then realised that that hotel has a naturist terrace below the level of this hotel. It’s not a big deal as the beach accommodates naturists
There should be a more prominent sign at the entry gate to press the buzzer for Reception. I wandered up and down the street on arrival trying to find a way in.
I loved this hotel and would certainly book again"
