"We recently stayed here, we had a unique solarium room, and we were all inclusive, in my opinion, these are the good points:
The view from the hotel was really good. The room was a good size. Check in was good. The night shows were mostly good. The staff were good. Location was good.
These are in my opinion the bad points:
The unique solarium area is shared with around 9 other rooms, the pictures on the brochure look nothing like the reality, I’ll post a picture of it. The jacuzzi doesn’t work, the egg chairs are missing and there’s no way to get a drink except going out via your room, down two floors and get them yourself. There’s also a large part that’s inaccessible, so you don’t really get a good view. In my opinion it was a waste for us to book the solarium room as we didn’t use it.
The bathroom area was nice, but, the shampoo, shower gel, and soap all contained the same thing, and were bad quality, the conditioner was even worse. The hot water was inconsistent and the pressure variable. The cleaning in the room was good sometimes then really bad, we had ants in the room beside the bed, we told the cleaning staff, but nothing changed, we had to sleep with ants every night beside us. The cleaning staff also left our balcony door open twice during our stay, and as we share the space with so many others, this was a serious security issue. I am wheat intolerant, which they knew about, I was shown about the restaurant and told no to almost every thing, there was also zero desserts , which I found some safe ones, which makes me think they didn’t know what contained what. The unique breakfast room which we could also access during the day for drinks and snacks, contained nothing for me, I’ve again attached a picture, it was mostly sandwich type food, left out to go hard. But the view from there’s nice, so I just ate some peanuts. The unique breakfast was nice, but on our last day we decided to try to downstairs regular restaurant, it contained so much more choice, and I wished we’d used it. The unique pool, which is advertised as only for unique members was used by everyone, as was the unique areas beside the pool, I sat next to a guest who said they simply lifted unique towels and used the pool and Sunbed areas, again not fair on us who have paid so much more. The activity round the unique pool was non existent, and there was missing tiles which cut my foot.
The drinks were really bad, cocktails were some of the worst I’ve ever tasted, and when I paid for cocktails, the staff were reading how to make them, and they were not much better. The nereo bar was nice, but people could come in off the street, some with children were turned away, some came in with kids and were served, when I pointed this out to staff, he just waved his hand at me. It’s an adults only hotel, but the staff don’t seem to know this. The night entertainment was dreadful sometimes, female singers who really could not sing, but the queen tribute and the violin player were suburb. Would I stay here again? Probably, but not in a solarium room, and not unique."
