Barcelo Margaritas

"We stayed in Barceloʻ Margaritas for a week. Such a lovely hotel, very clean and modern. When we arrived the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Our rooms were clean and spacious too. The pool area was nice, just the right size for families. Lots of sunbeds and pool an ok size too. The bar was right next to the pool and had entertainment on most evenings. There was also a spa and treatment centre on site which myself and my daughter used and was very relaxing and reasonably priced. The room had air con and a nice look out to the pool area, from the balcony. They had little touches in the bathroom like, Toothbrush, cotton buds that made it a nice welcome too. We would definitely use this hotel again. The area playa del ingles was also beautiful and had lots of things to do."

"This is our second visit here and will unfortunately be our last. This year did not meet the standards we saw last year. The top pool is bordering dangerous. I flagged last year that the pool floor needed repair and returned this year to it being worse. Lots of families chose to go to the bottom pool after catching toes / feet in the floor paint which is peeling off. House keeping also has slipped , tea and coffee not once refilled , bathroom floor not swept. Pool areas not cleaned well or monitored during the day resulting in cups and food debris all over the floor lots of ants and flies . Staff levels appear thin resulting in just miserable looking staff. A really disappointing experience for my family to be honest as last year was fantastic hence re booking again. All the above can be easily rectified so I hope changes and feedback are taken on board. On a positive our room was lovely and spacious. Food was ok …. Some nights better than others but lots of choice and always something to eat. Food is not that hot which again could be quickly and easily rectified."

"The hotel is not a 4-staras , as it is presented to be. It is dirty, old, and many things do not work. There are insects on top of the food, which also smells spoiled. The balcony door is broken and will not close and the shower has absolutely no water pressure—making it nearly impossible to shower. Furthermore, there isn't even a proper working light bulb in the room,only lamps and everything is filthy."
