Turbo Club

"Turbo club - I imagine you are all reading the reviews and thinking OMG where are we going, it’s actually quite nice, yes it’s a holiday where you have to make your own fun, if you are in the right company then what’s to worry about, entertainment is only a couple of times a week, hasn’t bothered us if anything we’ve enjoyed each others company more, spar shop is currently shut I imagine it will open soon, and they are finishing some works, you can see where they are working but it isn’t a problem no noise and it looks like they have nearly finished, rooms are fab, and all have a pool view, food is okay, basic but okay, English sausage in the morning what’s not to love, walk down to holiday world takes less than 10 minutes, keep walking and you will see the shopping centre keep heading towards that and there’s a supermarket, just round from there is a little bar called cleopatras, welcoming and do a great strawberry daiquiri well worth a pop in, little tip walk down and get a taxi back, bar owner happy to call you a taxi, costs around 6-8 euro, taxi to the yumbo centre just ask reception and they will call you one, easy to get a taxi back. Shuttle to the beach every day to take you there and back just check the times at reception. This place is a lovely little gem, and remember you get what you pay for, we are having an absolute blast, making the best memories, yes we could find things to moan about but why bother, the weather is amazing the hotel is friendly and we are on holiday, enjoy your holiday here, there’s plenty of ways to get out and about and enjoy the different areas. "Cleanliness was good, we really liked the apartment, it was spacious & efficient. Pool was nice & not freezing cold like other places we’ve been too. Negatives, cleaner left our rubbish outside our apartment for 2 days which had dirty nappies in so you can only imagine the smell. Entertainment very poor, only had 3 performances while we were there with one show only lasting 30 minutes. The circus performance was good though. Nothing during the day & nothing on a Monday or Tuesday. Lifeguard kept disappearing with one parent voicing their concerns as to why she kept going off, really not good with small children in a very deep pool. Only bar is the pool bar where staff would only come out from restaurant when someone was waiting for a while so a lot of the time you’re waiting for a drink. Drinks were ok… Our air con never worked in our room, light was flickering & blowing out warm air even on coldest setting, we complained about this twice & nothing was done. Building works on two big blocks while we were there so not really a relaxing holiday. We was not notified about the building works. No shop on site as was also being worked on. Nearest shop was a good 30 minute walk with children. Food was not great, a lot of stew type meals & pork meat dishes. Chicken looked grey. We were lucky with late checkout as a lot of families got denied this, not good when wristband gets removed & no amenities nearby. All that’s available is a shower room & a place to put suitcases. We were meant to of checked out our room at 11 but because we have an autistic child, transfer wasn’t until 4:30 they let us keep our room for a €40 charge."

"If your looking for value for money you will not beat Turbo Club. Always able to find something to eat in the restaurant and the drinks were lovely, staff were all very courteous and the rooms were cleaned daily. Remember the price you are paying for this when you are there and it will put a smile on your face. Mini-golf, tennis and petanque available outside, and a mini arcade inside. The pool bar was lovely and you can not complain about the cleanliness. We will be going again."
