Family-friendly bungalow break
Located in a peaceful part of a larger resort complex, the Maspalomas Resort by Dunas has the welcoming charm of a small village, but with all the facilities you’d expect of a hotel.
Separated by shaded footpaths lined with cypress and palm trees, the spacious single-storey villas are great for families, and include separate living areas, large furnished terraces, and kitchens for preparing your own snacks and meals.
If you’d rather someone else does the cooking, the buffet restaurant offers a varied choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner, while the poolside bar is the place for a light lunch, afternoon tea, ice cream and drinks. There’s even an on-site bakery for treats and coffees.
With multiple swimming pools, daytime activities, plus a chill-out zone and fitness area, your holiday here can be as active or laid-back as you like. Little ones will love the splash pool, kids’ club and playground, and there’s regular evening entertainment laid on, too.
Explore further afield and you’ll find Gran Canaria has something for all the family, from traditional villages to amazing landscapes, water parks and, of course, beaches. The resort is right on the doorstep of a golf course and the spectacular 400-hectare Maspalomas Dunes Nature Reserve. The great shopping and nightlife of Meloneras and Playa del Ingles are just minutes away by taxi – and afterwards you’ll come back to the Maspalomas Resort by Dunas, where it will feel like returning to your own private holiday home.

Find out more about Maspalomas
Along part of the shore is Maspalomas’s star attraction: 400 hectares of stunningly beautiful, desert-like dunes that have been protected as a nature reserve for 30 years. Nature plays a big part on holidays to Maspalomas, with dolphin- and whale-watching among the standout excursions on offer, giving you the chance to marvel at these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat.
Elsewhere, Playa del Ingles (Englishman’s Beach) is a popular spot, just a short walk east from Maspalomas (and cheap taxi ride on the way back), known for its lively pub and fun nightclub scene. There’s plenty in and around Maspalomas to keep everyone happy.
