Hotel Cristina by Tigotan

"It was our second stay at this hotel and we booked a suite for 2 weeks on floor 8. On arrival it wasn’t the best start, as despite having received an email confirming our requested suite reservation number, we were told that it was no longer available and our re-allocated suite wouldn’t be ready by the 3.00pm check in time. We ended up checking in at 4.30pm and taking our own cases to the room. Thankfully from here things improved greatly. We were pleased with the suite and the amazing views. The daily housekeeping staff were fantastic and did an excellent job each day. Very good breakfast, plenty of hot or cold choices and very efficient helpful staff in the dining area. Nice swimming pool area that was friendly and welcoming. There are QR codes displayed in the rooms and the bar area to order food during bar opening hours or room service available 24 hours a day. Very helpful hotel concierge on the lower ground floor who were always on hand to provide information and bus timetables to visit other areas. We took a trip to Teror only 30 minutes away a beautiful village with very traditional Spanish architecture. The hotel is in a fabulous central location on the promenade with amazing views, steps way from the beach and surrounded by restaurants, cafes, tapas bars, shops etc. Ideal for a beach city holiday."

"We stayed for a week in November 2025. I have stayed in many of the good hotels in Las Palmas over the years but this was the first time I have stayed here. There are, like any other places, good & bad points. I will list a few that should help you choose your stay. Good: Spacious rooms, very clean. Food was above average despite the size of the place. Staff are very friendly, efficient and accommodating. Pool is very good. It is salt water and heated. I quite enjoyed the harbour view from the little balcony where the sun comes in the morning. Straight on to the beach, although the beach is never far away from any accommodation here. Bad (but not terrible :-): No tea/coffee facility in the room. Separate WC with no hand basin. The whole place lacks character. In fairness it is a very large hotel. The entertainment in the evening is awful. The acts can clear the whole area. (note to hotel: speak to the owner of the Imaginero Music Bar & he'll get you some real musicians) Unfortunately our room on the 10th floor was underneath the Gym and we could hear loads of noises coming through. I'm sure this only applied to one or two rooms. A bit difficult to get a sun bed. Evening buffet meal advertised at 20 Euro but charged 25 (no big deal but still good value) If you don't know Las Palmas I'm sure you will enjoy the place it has a unique feel about it. I have been to the Canaries for years and now come to Las Palmas three or four times a year in the winter to escape the Scottish weather."

"My partner and I decided to have a few days in Las Palmas to celebrate his 40th birthday. We booked an Airbnb on Las Canteras, which turned out to be a disaster (don't do it folks...not worth it). On day twi, in desperation I just walked into the Hotel Cristina to see if they had room for us for our remaining three nights. I knew nothing about the hotel except that I had spotted it from the balcony of the ill-fated Airbnb. Upon walking into the lobby, Laura the receptionist could see that I was upset, and immediately began to help, sitting me down with a glass of Cava while she worked her magic and found us a lovely room for the remainder of our stay. The owner of the Airbnb had threatened us, so we packed up and left for Hotel Cristina. When we got to the room, there was a birthday card and a bottle of Cava waiting for us...my partner just burst into tears. It was such a refreshing change and a relief to be surrounded by kind, caring staff. The whole stay turned around and I sit here writing this on the last night of our stay having had a wonderful, relaxing time. After a chat with the wonderfully kind receptionist Evelia, we decided to book ten days next June at the hotel, purely because we had been treated with such kindness. A hotel is only as good as its staff, and this is where the Cristina shines. Anything such as minor niggles (such as selfish Germans!) can be overlooked. See you in June folks!"
