This hotel is spot on. We are here at the moment, having had our first week. Will do my best to be honest. Many complained about the lifts. Yes, they are slow. However, you need to use common sense the lifts are small and only really hold 4 people. Prepare for a wait, between 7.30 and 9.30 am. Its really busy with people going for breakfast. Again, dinner time. Tea time isn't bad for the lifts. The rest of the time, we never waited longer than 2 mins. Sunbeds and towels...
Yes, there are the selfish embarrassing ones who are up early 6am to put towels on beds. Trouble is these idiots leave the towels there all day, then collect them again at 4.pm. utter complete muppets. There are enough sunbeds for everyone. We came down for breakfast at 9.30 most mornings and got 2 sunbeds in same place each day.
Food..
its typical all inclusive, nothing special, just plane old run of the mill food. The Resteraunt is big and comfortable.
Solarium.
Extremely hot on there. Great views and a jacusi, but a bit boring. Please dont walk on the floor up there in bare feet, i burnt mine. it's so hot.
Rooms .
Excellent very spacious and fantastic views we were on floor 8, great sunsets.
Few tips for you.
Out of hotel, turn left, walk approx 200 yards to the bust stop. Get the bus to porto rico. Costs 1. 40 euros each. Taxi back 9 euros. Well worth the trip. When you get off the bus at porto rico, turn right, then left at roundabout, follow that road for approx 300yards. Past the crazy golf, and you hit the main strip.well worth it.
Ferry.
You can catch a ferry to port mogan, from the harbour at aguineguin. 20 euros each. Please be advised its a bit dodgy getting on the ferry. Dont wear slippy shoes. Ferry goes to porto rico and stops there for 15 mins then onto mogan. Approx 45 mins in total. Mogan is really nice, reminded us of greece, will be going back again before holiday ends.
Pool bar. Lots of guests use this at dinner, so can get a little busy. Good food, lots of variety, self service bar.
The town.
Sadly not much there to talk about, howevever, if you walk out of hotel at the back near the beach there are a couple of nice resteraunts along the esplanade, there is a silver turnstile taking you out the hotel to the beach. Make sure you have your room key to get back in, though.
On the whole, a very nice place, stayed in better , also stayed in worse, would definately go back again. Hop you enjoy it as much as we are enjoying it.
PS one more thing. We were on the 3pm flight getting into gran canaria at 8.30 pm. Passport control is a bit of a nightmare, but jet 2 did text the day before to warn us. Got a taxi from airport to hotel £50 , checked in almost 90mins before coach transfer arrived. Doing same going back. Apperently transfer can be upto 2hours???
Enjoy yourselves we have👍👍"
