"We have just returned from 10 days stay. The apartment was fantastic, the air con great and place kept immaculate. The complex is a 10 min walk into the town and short taxi ride from Puerto Rico so location was great. The major downside for us was the sunbed situation. Towels were put down early on in morning and all reserved by 10am. Some groups would leave early in morning and not return for several hours. The lifeguard did a bit of policing of this but from what we experienced would favour Spanish guest over others and would not enforce the pool rules for certain guests. The frustration for us was there was plenty of room for other sun beds. It really ruined the holiday for us. It's such a shame, as the place has so many positives but the lack of sun beds really spoiled the experience."

"No sun beds, sun bed wars at its worst! Towels are out reserving the sun beds from the crack of dawn. Simple solution to add more beds! It’s a huge complex with not enough sun beds at the family pool. Come on management, sort it out!!"

"Review: Arguineguin Park, Gran Canaria ​The Negatives ​Inconsistent Pool Rules: The rules feel illogical and poorly enforced. Lifeguards seemed more focused on policing fun than actual safety. For example, pool towels aren't allowed directly around the pool before 10 AM (though they are fine elsewhere), ball games and regular lilos are banned, but donut inflatables are allowed for some reason. No-diving signs are posted everywhere, yet diving was permitted, and large groups were doing backflips and roughhousing without lifeguard intervention. ​Pool Facilities & Hours: The main pool was a comfortable temperature, but it is way too small for the complex. Opening hours (10 AM to 7 PM) felt far too short. ​Room Sizes & Sofa Bed: Read the room descriptions carefully before booking. We were surprised by how small the second bedroom was—it really isn't suitable for two children. The sofa bed isn't a great backup option either, as the living room lacks curtains or shutters to block out the morning light. ​The Positives ​The Complex: Aside from the room size issue, the apartment was well-equipped, and the overall resort was clean and quiet. The adults-only area at the top end of the resort looked great, though it was rarely used. ​Convenience & Amenities: There is a handy supermarket on-site with prices fairly close to the main SPAR in town, which is a larger store just a 20-minute walk away. ​Local Area: Arguineguin is a lovely port town that isn't overly overrun by tourists. Don't miss the nice Tuesday morning market. Anfi Beach is a 25-minute walk towards Puerto Rico and well worth a full-day trip for its sandy beach, watersports, bars, and restaurants. For more lively nightlife, Puerto Rico is only a €10 taxi ride away (taxis are plentiful). If you go, check out Aunty's Kitchen for an excellent curry! ​Day Trips & Transport: ​Las Palmas: Taking the bus to Las Palmas for a football match was a great experience. The buses are pleasant and reasonably priced, though timetables can be inconsistent (reception couldn't provide one, and we experienced 1-hour gaps between buses). ​Aqualand Maspalomas: The waterpark is well worth a visit despite the entry cost. Top tips: Bring your own food as eating inside is expensive, and buy a fast pass to bypass the slow-moving queues. If you want to return, you can buy a second-day ticket inside the park for just €15 per person."
