"HOTEL
I went to this hotel for six nights 11-17th of January. It was my first time solo trip to get as much relax as I can. And I think this hotel is really good for holiday type like that. But I wouldn’t choose this hotel for holiday with kids, as not much to do here.
Hotel is located close to the beach, but there is nothing else. Just another hotel next to and a supermarket Mercadona (please note that the bottle of wine there isn’t much more expensive than bottle of water!). There is a bus stop outside the hotel which you can go to Costa Calma or Morro Jable. You can ask for an advice and bus schedule at the reception.
Stunning views to the ocean, especially if you take a sit at adults only area.
Hotel as a building is a bit dated and could do with some renovation. But is very clean everywhere.
Because I was just myself I used to go to adult only area.
ROOMS
Rooms are quite specious, but again - dated and need some renovation. Cleaners clean rooms everyday if you want. There is a kettle, mugs and some instant coffee. In a bathroom you can find shower gel and a hand wash. Because I went here in January it was a bit cold at night time. There isn’t proper bedding, just a thin sheet and a blanket you can use. But to be honest, this blanket looked awful. Beds quite comfortable but pillows could be better.
FOOD
I would give 4/5* for food. I’m not fussy eater as I eat everything. The only thing which is important for me is food must be tasty. There is quite good choice and some dishes I tried were really nice. And they do fish every night which I loved as I’m fish person. Beef bourguignon absolutely amazing.
The only downside for me was breakfast. Not much choice and not tasty.
I took one star off because of breakfast, but mainly because they do charge extra for most popular cocktails, like Mohito which I love. And I need to say that this was the very first time that Mohito wasn’t included within All inclusive package.
POOLS/BEACH
Hotel has really beautiful main pool and few smaller pools. Unfortunately water was freezing 🥶 TUI advertised that chilling pool at adults only area is heated at the winter which wasn’t the true. Part of main pool was heated but really not that much and I would go in even if someone paid me 100€. Many sun beds around everywhere but these are not very comfortable.
Hotel is located close to the beach, just need to go down - so please note it is only for people who don’t have problems with their mobility. Beach is lovely and water in the sea warmer than in the pools.
ENTERTAINMENT
Every evening live music where the reception (maybe it is outdoor when warmer). Some bands really great like on Sunday was a band who played and sung songs of Queen, absolutely amazing. On Tuesday a rock band, also great. Thursday and Friday I’ve seen they did some shows in the “theatre”, but can’t say if good or not as I stayed upstairs.
To be honest I haven’t seen any animation team during the day or even evenings, not sure if there was any.
MY OVERALL OPINION
I like this hotel. I loved the views and the fact that was calm and quiet, perfect place to get some relax.
I didn’t like the fact that Mohito wasn’t included and that the smoking people can smoke cigarettes everywhere. There should be designated areas only for smokers as it can be not comfortable for non smokers. Another thing I was disappointed was that I couldn’t get a coffee before main restaurant was open for breakfast. Hotels I went to before had coffee machines in a public areas available 24hrs. I’m early bird and like to sit with a cup of coffee before I have breakfast. Been told that I have a kettle in my room, but I don’t like instant coffee.
And last thing which I really didn’t like - I have put on door handle a tag “do not disturb” and because was windy I have used my hair band to make sure that the tag will stay there. And day before I go home the cleaner went to my room anyway. This make me feel very uncomfortable as I didn’t want anyone to come in to the room. I was just myself so it was clean anyway and I don’t need my towels or bedding to be changed every day.
Nationalities in hotel: I think it was 40% Polish, 40% Germans and 20% other like Brits, Dutch, Spanish etc.
Ps. Wi-fi in the hotel is working great, even around the pools etc.
In my opinion hotel wasn’t worth what I paid. Happy to back there if find cheaper offer, but not for what I paid now."
