H10 Tindaya

"There are good points about this hotel - reasonably clean, the pools were nearly empty, plenty of sunbeds (particularly in the privilege area), a lovely beach, and very hard working, friendly staff. What was disappointing was there just weren't enough staff. This resulted in long queues at the bar and a struggle to find a cleared table in the restaurant (plenty of empty tables at the later sittings, but not nearly enough staff to clear them, so you had to either sit surrounded by dirty plates, or wait). Because it is a smaller hotel, the range of food at the buffet is also rather disappointing. We went privilege and were really disappointed with the privilege lounge which was hot and stuffy - so unappealing that I only saw one person it it all week! The 'self service drinks' at the privilege pool was orange juice, champagne or water - I really felt that more options could have been offered - perhaps more soft drinks or at least beer. We ate once in the privilege restaurant - the food was really good, but that night I was violently ill (s&d). I can't definitively confirm, but suspect food poisoning and so couldn't face eating there again. We were at h10 Rubicon Palace last year (again on privilege) - and that is far superior. I would happily return to Rubicon Palace, but despite the some good points at Tindaya, we won't be going back unless there are some major changes."

"Currently on last day of a weeks visit. Firstly we upgraded via hotel direct and in our opinion is well worth it for reasons below 1 High floor sea view rooms. 2 mini bar replenished daily. 3 self service lounge. 4 seperate pool which was never more than 25% occupied. 5 A la carte waitered restaurant which was worth the upgrade alone as main buffet was very busy and could not clear tables quick enough so it seemed. ( not staffs fault) Hotel itself is very good clean tidy and well laid out. Direct access to lovely beach. The staff could not work any harder or be more pleasant. Some areas, pool bar , main buffet, seem understaffed. Management fault not hard working staff. Would we return.. yes with the upgrade as this is well worth the extra £20 per day."

"Great resort, staff are very hard working, particularly over meal times, make sure you book meals before stay if possible, pools get busy so get down early to catch a lounger and parasol. Although lots of people it feels a very friendly place, Animation Team really do work hard to keep kids entertained (and parents too) and room service was friendly and helpful. Yuzena (I think was her name) in housekeeping was very friendly and helpful."
