H10 Ocean Dunas

"Only good thing about this hotel is its location. Definatlety not 4 star. First impression on a arrival was, open airy reception with prompt check (no welcome drink offered which i saw offered to others). Booked a "junior suite" which in my humble opinion was no bigger then a regular room. Very poor for storage of items. Large balcony however was not cleaned at all and had hairs from previous guests and was dirty. We had bugs in our room, tiny little things like ants, some one did come and spray something but they came back, making the tea area unusable. Cleanliness of room, floor not cleaned/swept. It was just a basic change towels, make bed. The highlight of our stay was upon returning to the room one morning the overwhelming smell of raw sewage when i opened the door. On inspection in the bathroom, actual raw sewage had come up through the drain in the shower cubicle. Straight to reception i went. They did sort the blocked drain but it should never of happened. We were offered a room change but to a different ground floor room. We then got a bottle of bubbly and a tiny box of chocs, becauae that makes up for poop in your room! I can not eat gluten and the chocs had gluten in ( hotel was aware of dietary needs prior to arrival) so i got a fruit platter instead! On the subject of dietary needs, i really enjoyed nothing in the breakfast buffett being marked up for allergens, makes it real easy for me 🤦‍♀️ every day i would have to ask for a little packet of cereal to be brought out. The last day was the best though, no staff to be seen, no one to beg for food, eventually i find one and ask for my offering of gluten free cereal. Off she pops never to be seen again! After 5/10 mins i trapse around to find her and she hasnt even got my cereal, she was writing the weather on a board. So again i ask/beg for some food, she told me abruptly to wait! So rude. Can you not just put out a little basket of food suitable for dietary needs so we dont have to beg?! Staff were pretty much all miserable, we ordered food and drink twice, on both times we didnt get the drinks as the server forgot or was on his phone ( we were the only ones there) Pool, its like doing a polar ice plunge, definatley not heated. Only has wobbley ladders to get in and out. It was not used much. Sun loungers like lying on concrete as no cushions. Pool itself cleaned daily, but no where else was ever cleaned, glasses still there the next day. Oh and always nice to see peeling paint falling into the bar seating area. So overall it was not fun and would not go back."

"H10 ocean Dunas, Just arrived home after a wonderful stay at this hotel. We have visited this hotel many times over the years and it gets better every time it's our special place to go to. There have been a few comments regarding the air conditioning, bearing in mind around the time a few guests discussed the air-conditioning with the management, the weather was extremely hot. We have been at the hotel for 14 nights and have had no issues what so ever with air-conditioning and. The hotel is a beautiful oasis in a perfect location. The whole of the H10 team work very hard to make your holiday very special. They all go the exact mile which makes it the best place to be. Love the restaurant, peace and quiet and lovely food and service, can't fault anything. Missing you all already and can't wait our next visit. Thank you for a lovely holiday. "Recently stayed at this hotel We found the management team and reception staff to be dismissive , rude and lack good customer care considering they are promoting and work in a H10 hotel The issues we had air con not going below 28 degrees and some days reached 31.5 reported this and was told the blackout curtains must be kept closed at all times during the day and night, to add to this we were told the air con was not functional for the hotel and several rooms were not being used , this had been reported by a lot of guests but still not looked into The food was dreadful breakfast was cooked in the main kitchen and then placed in the dining area under heat lamps , the food was cold and the fried eggs was not edible , limited choice Main meal was ordered from a set menu , served cold and fish had bones in it , we had to eat every day which added an additional cost to our holiday , very limited choice again re desert , no ice cream or custard We had to involve our Jet 2 rep who tried to get us some compensation for meals but the hotel would not acknowledge our concerns As we were 2 ladies travelling on our own, we felt intimated by some of the staff and very vulnerable, , our whole holiday was ruined Please think carefully before booking this hotel and do not waste your well earned money booking this hotel They even wanted evidence and a record of the food temperatures, why would a guest take a food probe on holiday to take temperatures of the food they were eating Don’t be fooled that because it is a H10 hotel the service will be good , this was not the case, we gave the management time to sort this out before we left the hotel , but they chose to ingnore this , hence why I am writing this review"
