Kids have a whole world to themselves thanks to cheery mascot Pepe, whose Acqua Land is the stuff of dreams for the under 12 crowd. It’s not all water-based fun, either – though there’s plenty of that in supply over at the splash zone – with playgrounds, sports facilities, and a kids’ club with organised activities.

The spa then, is a hub of wellness and relaxation. It’s just for grown-ups, too, so it’s the perfect place to escape for a bit of peace and quiet. Centre yourself with a spot of yoga or Pilates, or, if you need stronger stuff, go all out with a massage or indulgent treatment.

Dinnertime? Make a beeline for the buffet, where spreads of international fare and themed evenings await. A couple of poolside eateries – including one just for adults – dole out snacks and light bites, while the à la carte Italian spot is all about hearty dishes just like your Nonna would make. A couple of bars are peppered around the resort, too, for coffee, cocktails, and a spot of light entertainment after dark.
