"Stayed in this hotel for 4 nights at the end of June, all inclusive and here is an honest review of my personal experience. This hotel is definitely in the lower end of 4* and for the low price paid the product we received was very fair. Some may compare this to a high 3* which may also be a good way to put it.
For starters location is very attractive. A 30 minute drive form the airport and 60 Euro each. Location of the hotel is excellent. On the start of the strip, in a great resort with lots of bars, shops and restaurants. Aswell as lots of beaches to choose from. Including popcorn beach which is worth a visit. The national park sand beaches near the riu hotels are also close with a 10 minute taxi or bus ride for the best beaches in the canaries. A water park is also next door pretty much and the Retro bar next door is the place to go!
When checking in, which was nice and simple and super friendly staff we paid a 10 euro deposit for pool towels which we did receive back in the end after our stay. Rooms are available at 15:00 which is clearly stated so no one should complain! you can put your luggage in the luggage room and still use facilities as we had lunch.
Our Room was located in I block at the back of the hotel, on the upper floor as we had email and requested before hand on email which is super! Would recommend. The rooms are large and have seen a few people complain about them. Yes if you look closely some paint is peeling off outside on the balcony, the door has a few chips in paintwork but the room as a whole was very large, huge sofa and desk area. Beds on the firmer side but personal preference for me so happy. Comfortable. Lots of storage area and a nice view of the landscape from our balcony. Cleaned everyday, aircon worked nicely. If i was to complain our sink didn't drain very well as it was at a slight angle to us not down the drain, but not the end of the world. Yes the door could do with a paint job. The fridge also wasn't very cold and didn't make our waters cold but prevented them from going warm. Safe is also included in the room. Shower is powerful with showergel in the showers. Not much to complain about in all honesty.
Pool. Plenty of sunbeds no need for sunbed wars, not many umbrellas but that did not bother me, although i know it would bother some. Their is a quiet pool which you felt like you had to whisper going through. No ball games or inflatables, just pure relaxation. The main pool with a small shallow kids pool too has the pool bar with it and allows balls and inflatables. The pool was on the chilly side but just go in and get underwater and you warm up within a minute. Just enjoy it and don't moan! What i would say is that the pool has what looks like a temporary liner on the bottom of the pool. It has a few creases in it but it does the job just rather bizarre. It does the job even though it isn't tiled like typical.
The entertainment is a limited workforce with only 2 in the team. 1 in the kids club bit and one doing activities such as water polo, darts anything. People moan but he does work hard to provide game which were entertaining. Espcially aqua gym. The tiles by the pool can get hot apparently and some people do leave sliders by the pool but we didn't have this issue as the sunbeds are close to the pool.
Drinks are self serve at Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner with the usual soft drink choices, beer, wines, and decent coffee machines. The pool bar is open 10:00-18:00 then the indoor bar opens after that from 18:00-24:00, with all inclusive ending at 23:00 which is bizzare. The 1 euro deposit for cups is weird but honestly not a big deal. Just keep your cup with you. You can get a new one every time you go to the bar or just get a paper one from the restaurant or bring your own as alot do.
Dinner, the downstairs restaurant is open saturday and sunday night which is weird and should be open at all times as it is much nicer and more formal. Not sure why they don't open it on weekdays. Please change this as the upstairs one is suitable for Breakfast and lunch but the plastic tables and chairs may be off-putting to some when having a formal dinner. Their also seems to be a larger selection of food downstairs too as it is larger, with nicer seats and ambiance. Food selection is less than i have previously experienced but we always had a full meal and sure everyone would find something to eat. A lack of a kids section may be off-putting for children and families. We said the quantity of selection is low but the quality is high and on par with your typical all inclusive. They do fresh showcook pasta every lunch and dinner with a variation of sauces. Fresh pizza oven. The meat selection of fresh cooked infront of you was good with only pork repeated in our stay, also included sirloin steak, very nice. It was also seasoned which is good. Breakfast standard all inclusive and enjoyable. Desserts standard. It is not all as bad as people make it out to be. Lower expectations to a low 4* and just have an enjoyable time, make the most of it . A few small tweaks could make this a solid 4* hotel."
