Elba Sara Beach and Golf Resort

"We stayed at Elba Sara in October 2026, we traveled as a family of 4 with a 7 year old and a 6 month old baby. We had a fantastic week. We really enjoyed the food , the drinks were some of the best all inclusive cocktails we’ve had before. Our room was lovely and spacious and was very clean and well equipped, the beds were made daily and we received clean towels each day we particularly loved the towel robes provided. We also had a beautiful sea view in room 346 The pools were lovely and clean and the kids pool was heated which was great for October, we also liked the gardens surrounding the hotel. The location was good, around a 20 min walk to the centre and only €5 euro in a taxi. We had some lovely meals in the centre particularly a lovely Italian restaurant. There is a shopping centre next to the hotel which is fantastic for drinks, food , shopping and a child’s play area which our daughter loved. We were told on arrival that the Italian in the hotel was full so we booked the Mexican. The food was nice but some feedback would be more staff needed in the restaurant , one women member of staff was doing everything her self and seemed very stressed and it did impact the service provided, we left without having a dessert and lots of people waiting to be seated. Just to add the women in the restaurant was lovely she just had too much to do by herself. Reception were really kind and helpful and we were lucky enough to be able to pay to keep our room until 2pm late checkout which we were pleased about with having such a young baby and we appreciate the manager agreeing to this as I know the hotel was full. Some feedback would be the snack bar could be better, but the food overall was really good. We had a great stay and would definitely return, thank you to all the lovely helpful staff at the hotel for a fantastic stay."

"Was so looking forward to this break as it seems it is a hotel that has people return back to year on year but have to say we found it disappointing. Will start with the pro's - great location, close to a lovely shopping centre and a short walk from the main town. We encountered very friendly staff with excellent customer service. Especially the gents in the bar in reception, drinks are good quality as well.Roberto on reception who gave us a lovely welcome, the waiting staff and animation team all wonderful. Pool, always a lounger available, pool bar has drinks and snacks from 10 and kids could get ice cream themselves from a little freezer. Sadly on to the cons; towels both bedroom and pool towels were frayed some had holes in. Balcony chairs were rusty, rooms not swept daily, key cards kept blanking despite being kept away from phones and devices. The restaurant plenty to choose from but if you don’t get to the restaurant when it opens food can be cold. One chef burnt a tray of pancakes but still served them up and on a few of the day's pastries were burnt. Always chasing for spoons, they aren't laid out on the tables and the baskets are always empty. Plates, you have to put several back before you find a clean one and then it is soaking wet. Had to always take napkins to dry them before you could plate up. We also took wipes as on day two there was a cockroach crawling on a table and the worst was the rather large mouse running around at breakfast. Waiters didn't seem shocked. Wouldn't return."

"DO NOT GO!!! BED BUG INFESTATION I booked this hotel via a Jet2 package holiday. All seemed okay at first, the rooms were a little dated and needed some updates, but generally okay. 6 nights in we realised that what we thought were mosquito bites were actually bed bugs. We had all our clothes etc removed and washed and tumble dried on high heat (most no longer fit) we were moved to another room, then my son was covered and we found bed bugs in his bed too. I’ve attached photos and videos. My advice is do not go. They clearly have a huge issue with bed bugs. Jet2 customer service has been terrible and the hotel could only apologise, but there’s no way the maid service wouldn’t have seen these when changing our beds!!! My son needed hospital treatment due to the severity of these bites. I’m appalled and disgusted."
