"Just got back from a 10 night all inclusive stay at bronce mar.
We were a large group (2 families with small children plus grandparents) so check-in was quite slow for us as we had 4 apartments to get booked into rather than just the one, the apartments themselves were clean and well kept (though the bin in ours was quite ripe despite the fact it was empty and appeared clean) and during our stay the cleaners came in every other day which was more than enough as we were only showering and sleeping in them so they weren't getting particularly dirty, we'd read alot of reviews saying about noise from planes overhead and the volume of the entertainment, as far as planes go yes you can see and hear them going overhead but they only seemed to be coming in during the day so for us it was fine, one of the grandparents in our group went for an afternoon siesta every day and never said he'd been woken up by planes and our 1 year old didn't struggle to nap either, as for noise from the entertainment, our apartments were all the other side of the complex to where the entertainment was so this wasn't a problem however we did notice some of the apartments are directly above the entertainment area so I could see how noise could be an issue if you were booked into one of those, that being said the entertainment, music etc finished at 11pm so even if you were above it you wouldn't be kept up until the small hours.
Food wise the all inclusive buffet restaurant was fairly standard for what you'd expect from a resort in the canaries, everything was nice enough but nothing was mind-blowing, nobody in our group went hungry or were left unable to find anything they'd be prepared to eat.
Drinks wise the all inclusive drinks offer was more than sufficient for what we wanted, between 11am and 11pm you could get beer, wine, house spirits or a small number of cocktails included, if you wanted branded drinks, the full cocktail menu or alcoholic drinks outside of the all inclusive hours you had to pay a 3 euro per drink premium.
Staff wise funnily enough with 4 small kids our main interactions with staff were with the animation team who were absolutely brilliant, out kids loved the kids club, daytime games and mini disco on the evening, the remaining evening entertainment was a bit hit and miss, the Halloween show and weekly white parties were great fun however the games night during our stay died a slow painful death (tbh not the fault of the animators just the audience members who participated being more tanked up than the battle of Kursk so it was like trying to herd cats). We did have a bad experience with one of the reception staff who was quite rude when their was a mixup about booking a shower room on our day of departure but it wouldn't be fair to judge the others by that individual's behaviour as the other girl on the desk did make the effort apologise on the others behalf.
The demographic of guests who go was a fairly balanced mix between British, french, Germans and Irish and the overwhelming majority of guests were families so everyone was in the same boat with regards to tired overstimulated children etc so all bar one individual was able to behave themselves, the only person who was unable to 'read the room' was obviously a fellow Brit who was trying to act like they were on an 18-30's trip to magaluf rather than in what's clearly a family friendly resort which was a bit annoying when they were constantly being drunk and loud but that wasn't the fault of the hotel and more a fault with that person.
What's good
Very short transfer from the airport (we were the 2nd to last drop off and it still only took about 1/2 an hour at the most.
Very safe family friendly atmosphere.
The pools while not warm they also aren't freezing and our kids loved playing in them and on the splash pad.
The animation team are great with the kids.
The hotel is only 5 minutes walk at the most from the beach and their are some lovely cafes and restaurants close by if you fancy venturing out, in particular the steak house with the batman statue is well worth a visit.
What's mid
The apartments aren't air-conditioned so you need to be mindful of making sure curtains are closed etc during the day if you're not in.
The food, as mentioned above it's edible and nice enough but nothing stands out.
No option for late check out of you're on a late flight on day of departure, I get it they need to turn the rooms round for the next guests coming in but it would have been helpful for us if it had been possible.
What's bad
Other than one receptionist who was rude and one guest who was loud and drunk nothing really"
