Historic glamour on the Costa del Sol

The Medplaya Pez Espada has star-studded history. Back in 1950s it was a hotspot for the rich and famous, hosting the likes of Elizabeth Taylor, Frank Sinatra and Sean Connery – to name a few. Today, the hotel is still rich in the glamour of its past, but with added contemporary touches to its interior and exterior design.

Right next to the Torremolinos promenade, this hotel is ideally placed. There’s direct access to La Cariheula Beach, the Benalmadena marina, and the buzzing tapas bars in the Spanish Quarter.

There are plenty of options for food, too, with an on-site restaurant, and café bar on offer. The buffet restaurant serves a selection of tasty international dishes, and nestled in the hotel’s gardens you’ll find Frankie’s Café, which serves snacks and drinks throughout the day. Room service is also available.

Remarkable views of the Mediterranean Sea can be enjoyed from the rooms, with each one offering either a side sea or full sea view from their private balcony. Decorated with parquet flooring and modern furnishings, it’s clear each room has been designed for comfort. There’s a flat-screen TV, air conditioning, and a fridge.
