Hotel Fenix Torremolinos

"It was a good hotel and especially the girl at the reception gave me a room that had a very nice view of the sea which I thank very much and also all the cleaners and kitchen workers everything was fine."

"We’ve stayed at the Fénix at least twice a year for the past 10 yrs now watched it evolve with improvements to the beautiful bar area where most days you are greeted by Jesus, always helpful accommodating when serving drinks and beverages, the hotel stands in a perfect spot , less than 5 mins to the town or to the plaza using the internal lift. The staff here work hard to make your stay is perfect, nothing is too much trouble. Room cleaning every day , the rooms are cool in the summer. Jose normally greets you for breakfast , always a smile welcomes you from the start, there’s plenty to choose from, replenished quite quickly as stuff starts to run out . The pool is adequate never too busy no towel reserving policy. Last day Jesus served us drinks and a pizza as it was a rainy day and gave us a courtesy Cava . "This hotel was in a great location. 5 minutes from the town from the front door and 5 minutes from the beach by the back entrance. The bar was very quiet in the evenings, but it had a lovely terrace. The clientele was older than we expected. Breakfast was exceptional (5stars)) and there was another terrace you could sit out and enjoy your meal. We did not like the pool area, it felt like you were in a courtyard with a raised pool. From the lift there is a flight of stairs down to the pool and another two flights of stairs down to the back entrance. The corridors need some work. We had a hugh bed, which was great and very comfortable ,but the room was on the small side. Our small room was definitely not a 4 star room. Very bad paint work, even some paint on the lampshade by the bed, very little storage and the bathroom tiling was not great with mosaic tiles missing around the drain. The reception staff were lovely as was the man who greeted us with a big smile every morning at breakfast. All in all we did enjoy our stay."
