Sercotel Rosaleda Malaga

"We had a really lovely 3-night stay at Sercotel Rosaleda Málaga and overall would definitely recommend the hotel. We hired a car and found parking really easy, which was a big plus. The hotel itself was modern, clean and well maintained, and our room was lovely and comfortable. The bed and pillows in particular were so comfortable — probably some of the best hotel pillows I’ve slept on! The pool terrace was also lovely. The pool is quite shallow, but it was absolutely fine for us to dip in and cool off. There weren’t a huge number of sunbeds and the pool didn’t open until 10am, which I thought was a little late, but neither was a major issue for us. A really handy feature is the shopping centre literally underneath the hotel. There’s a McDonald’s and a Carrefour supermarket and more, which was perfect for picking up drinks, snacks and anything else we needed during our stay. Pool towels were provided free of charge, and we also appreciated the complimentary water. The gym is quite small and there isn’t a huge amount of equipment, so it did feel cramped when several people were using it at once. That said, I don’t expect a massive gym from a hotel, and it was perfectly fine for a basic workout. Breakfast was really nice with a good selection, and I particularly loved the freshly squeezed orange juice machine — such a nice touch! There were, unfortunately, two things that let the stay down slightly. Firstly, while our room was being cleaned, I received a Monzo alert to say that someone had attempted to make a €10 transfer to an online Aircash account. Thankfully I was alerted immediately. I don’t want to point fingers or make an accusation, but my bank card had been left on the side in the room, so I did wonder whether there could have been a connection. I appreciate that it’s difficult for the hotel to establish what happened, and I did mention it to reception, although I didn’t feel that the concern was taken particularly seriously. Secondly, on two of the three nights, after our room had been cleaned, we were left without any bath towels. I did mention this to reception, but unfortunately even after around four hours we still hadn’t received any. When I phoned reception again, this was dealt with straight away, so I can’t fault the response once I called — although it was frustrating having to ask for towels in the first place. Despite these few minor issues, we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is modern, comfortable and in a really convenient location, particularly if you have a car or want easy access to shops and restaurants. The comfortable bed, lovely pool terrace, good breakfast and overall facilities made it a very enjoyable stay. Overall, we would happily recommend Sercotel Rosaleda Málaga and would stay again."

"Hotel is in a good spot with some bars and food places near by, about a 25min walk to beach/ harbour. It's a relaxing hotel quiet, and chilled atmosphere. The room was a good size comfy bed tea and coffee facilities but we were short of coffee on the morning maybe the cleaner had forgot to top it up. Rooms were spotless, shower needs more oomph but was passable. It was good value for money and we would return. They have a coffee shop in reception, great service and cheap."

"Very friendly and helpful staff in this very good modern hotel, right beside the shopping centre, 10 minutes walk from FC Málaga, and about half an hour walk from the old town. Would happily recommend! Thank you ☺️"
