Hilton Garden Inn Malaga

"Basic accommodations but at a fair price for the season and area. Air Conditioning not effective at keeping room at desired temperature, which lead to a stuffy, uncomfortable stay. Shower door did not close properly leading to a leak across the bathroom floor. I had requested late check-out on arrival which was kindly organised by the front desk staff, however the next morning housekeeping did not recognise this offering and became slightly aggressive whilst trying to enter the room. Unfortunately, this has led to a lower than average room, customer service should be a priority for any hotel in a competitive area."

"Enjoyed our stay. Hotel room a good size. Very well cleaned daily. Beds very comfortable. Hotel staff very friendly. Reception team helpful. Bar very reasonable priced. Had food one evening in bar area which was really nice. Underground about 5 mins walk. Supermarket a short walk over main road. Would stay here if I came to Malaga again."

"Quite a bit far from the main city but close to the airport. The area is quite dead and looks more like an abandoned industrial complex off the main street. The staff were amazing and super kind and helpful. Same goes for the service in general including the breakfast, housekeeping and other bits - quite good. However, the property is showing it's age. There were visible marks in the shower area. Also, the wardrobe had large gaps with visible damage. Same goes for the elevator which resembled the ones from the 70s and 80s - super slow. Bed and linen was good enough but the towels left a lot to be desired. They were thin and were not absorbent enough - certainly worse that what I have experienced in other Hilton properties. Breakfast was what you would expect from the chain - no surprises and good enough. All in all, if you must stay at a Hilton property and must stay close to the airport, sure - otherwise don't bother. Not worth the price."
