"Good location near the main station (cheap & regular trains to the airport & coast) and easy walk to old town, but hotel and rooms are very basic: room barely larger than the bed, no workspace, no kettle. Nice seating & workspace in the bar but it can't be accessed after 11pm. Breakfast basic and poor quality - and I was put off by the long strand of hair in the communal butter dish. Worth staying for €100 or less and for the convenience, but skip the food."

"I don’t write reviews very often, but after this experience at this hotel yesterday I feel I need to. I used points with Marriott Bonvoy to secure a queen bed hotel room in this hotel last night and when I saw the room, it was clear to me and my wife that have stayed in many hotels that this was not a queen bed. Then we looked at the bathroom and it was clearly designed for handicapped individuals. There was no shower door and the shower area was completely open to the toilet and the sink area. It was full of handicap cap equipment, and when we took a brief shower, the entire bathroom floor was covered in water as the drain and the slant of the floor did not adequately drain the floor water. It was a hazard to even able-bodied people because the floor stayed wet for the next 12 hours. I can’t imagine this being appropriate for anyone. When we asked shortly after arrival and seeing the room and seeing the water buildup in the shower to change rooms, we were told very coldly that the hotel was full. There was no effort made by the staff to find us a better room on site or at any of the Marriott properties and the Malaga Metro area. Generally speaking, the staff was cold and indifferent to our situation. I am 6 foot one and over 200 pounds and although my wife is quite petite, it was a very tight squeeze for us in this bed and we slept very poorly when we needed good quality sleep. My next call is going to be to Marriott to try to get my points back because I feel like this experience was awful and a complete waste of my points. In fact after pondering the issue, I can’t remember staying in a worse hotel for the last 25 years. Marriott should do better. It’s a high-quality Hotel family and this place was substandard on many fronts."
