Your chic city base by the sea
Tuck yourself into Málaga’s creative Soho district and let the city unfold on foot. From Be Mate Malaga Soho, stroll to the Atarazanas Market for juicy olives and jamón, wander the Old Town’s lanes to the Picasso Museum, then climb to the Alcazaba and Roman Theatre for golden-hour views. Fancy the seaside? Muelle Uno and La Malagueta Beach are a breezy walk away for sundowners by the water.
Back at base, life is easy and independent: sleek, apartment-style spaces with kitchenettes for simple meals, fast Wi-Fi to stay connected, smart self check-in, and luggage storage so you can squeeze in one more round of tapas before departure. There’s on-site parking (pre-booking advised) and a compact fitness room, plus handy laundry facilities for longer stays.
Eating out is also a joy here: graze on espetos and seafood along the port, or dive into the tapas scene at local favourites in the Old Town – think anchovies, fried aubergine with cane honey, and icy cañas. In Soho, street art, indie cafés, and cocktail bars keep evenings lively without leaving your postcode. Centro Alameda station is close for the airport train and Costa del Sol day trips. Sun, culture, markets, beach – this is Málaga made deliciously simple.
