Barcelo Malaga

"Location is very good - we literally jumpef off the train station and walked through the Mall. Barcelo was around 2 minutes away, just next to Train station for main trains. There are various restaurants and shops around. Mind you - if you leave the hotel, go right and want to go towards the sea, you want to avoid place with old train - homeless people reside there. Atmosphere is fantastic - staff are very attentive and care about every request. We had a small problem in our room, but finally got moved to another one after two nights - hotel was fully booked and this was the reason it took two nights. Rooms are as described. Clean and with big, comfortable beds. TV was a bit odd, as we could not log in to Youtube, there was no Netflix - we had to use our own account to watch you tube. We used it only once, so not a great problem really. Rooms are very quiet. It's not that you can't hear a thing, but in comparison to other hotels we have been to so far - this is one of two that were almost without any sounds. You could hear guests in the corridor but this is all. You don't hear the usual slamming doors sound. It also helps that there is no entertainment, no discos so no noise is in the room itself. We slept with windows open as we don't like A/C. Superior room faces the Mountains (South/East) so you don't hear much traffic there. I am super sensitive to noises and used no ear plugs. Bathroom was spacious and you could connect your phone to the sound system in it and enjoy own music while in the shower. Only thing - there is no fan in the bathroom and no toilet brush. This would be helpful. Rooftop Bar was mainly full, however always a few spots to use. Drinks and food also on very good level. I did not use the pool. my family did. they liked it, however in the morning until some time in the afternoon it was cold. I did not mind :) overall impresion is very good. somewhere between 4.5 and 5. Breakfast was great, fresh fruits, juices, smoothies. Omelettes on request. we liked it a lot."

"This was my third time staying at Barcelo Malaga. The staff were warm and friendly.The room was spotlessly clean.The breakfast had a wide selection to choose from.I will definately be back. Location although not in centre of Malaga there was easy access to cheap taxi into Muello uno or Calle Larios."
