"Spent a fabulous few days with friends here. Staff very helpful, and friendly. Breakfasts were great, can definitely recommend the poached eggs on toast. Rooms very clean and beds great. Only downside side air conditioning wasn’t the best so room got hot. Apart from that everything else brilliant"

"I booked a week-long stay at the IPV Palace Hotel & Spa for over US$200 per night while in town to present at a conference. For a self-proclaimed 4-star hotel at this price point, the amenities are shockingly inadequate. Just to give one example (of many), the hotel fails to provide basic ironing facilities. As a conference presenter, I was forced to present in creased shirts and trousers every single day. If you are traveling for business, attending a formal event, or simply expect standard 4-star amenities, look elsewhere. A profoundly disappointing experience. (Can I give ZERO stars!)"

"I think this hotel is about 20 years old, built to a traditional moorish design, but inside I think there sculptures, artworks and other exhibits are excellent. The round pillars, columns and high ceilings are very unique especially in the entrance lobby. Check in seemed to take longer than normal but the reception staff were very polite. They said we had a room upgrade, (I don’t know why), it seemed an ordinary dark room on the 1st floor, but was very clean and tidy. The pool area is fantastic, the gardens and grounds are well maintained especially the specimen trees which are well manicured. There are plenty of sun beds, pool water quality seemed very good, but there is lots of algae in the walls and bottom joints of the pool and is a bit off putting, although I realise with such a large irregular shaped pool it’s not easy to sweep but the maintenance should be way better. The pool bar is an excellent facility and the service is good. Breakfast and dinner buffets also good. I would recommend this hotel for a more quieter stay in this area, location, free parking and very comfortable accommodation."
