"We had a superior sea-view room. A beautiful, comfortable corner room with a 360-degree view of the bay. Fantastic. Very beautiful, well-maintained establishment on the seafront near the train station. Attentive and available staff. Breakfast up to standard, dinner surprising due to the few guests, a limited choice, but of quality, and a slightly offbeat atmosphere. Good beach restaurants nearby with appetizing and excellent grilled fish."

"Firstly we had a lovely stay at the Ilumion, our second visit. Our room was spacious with a big balcony and sea view. Spotlessly clean in all areas although the bathroom could benefit a makeover. The shower over the bath can be quite dangerous getting in and out, particularly at our age group. Can't comment on food as we were room only Unfortunately I had a nasty fall on oor last day and was taken to hospital and eventually taken home by air ambulance. It was a traumatic experience for myself and my husband and I would like to express my thanks to the staff at the hotel for their kindness to my husband and son enabling them to have accommodation whilst I was in hospital. It was a very disappointing and stressful end to our holiday and I'm now in hospital in the UK. Thank you again Illunion for your professionilism and kindness."

"If you need average hotel, clean, courteous staff, good location, then this is the one. Forget the food as is invariably cold late or early. Evening meal a joke. Cold and so far, 4 nights, no hot drinks eg. tea or coffee. Plates cold. Cooked frozen chips on their way to be frozen again. Cold fried chicken breasts the size of a wren. If not fried will be drowned in tomato sauce. Eat out. Expect to have to ask for milk and teabags in room every night as staff haven't replenished ours 3 out of 4 nights."
