"I had to leave after the bed bug bites got too much. The food is awful, the staff aggressive and the rooms filthy. If you don’t want Diarrhoea from your holiday: go somewhere else. Anywhere else. This is a joyless place. Stay away. "

"2 super pools, the ground floor one being a great length for exercise. But the floor area to the steps to the pool was just plain dirty and this didn’t improve at all during our entire stay. The roof top pool area was just lovely with beautiful views and in much better nick on the cleanliness front. However, the same lovely view from our own room balcony had a near chest height wall meaning we could enjoy the view only when standing up. In addition a bedside lamp was missing, too many of the plug points didn’t work, only one pillow per person was provided, the bidet plug was stuck fast and whilst the most basic of kettles worked we were not provided with any mugs or cups or even drinking glasses, save for 2 paper cups and a disposable spoon . Oh, and the TV wouldn’t work at all. In fairness, this was all mostly sorted out but I found the receptionist dismissive and argumentative. We returned to the room after our first day in the sun to find it hadn’t been cleaned. In itself, no particular big deal, but combined with the other issues it didn’t make for a great introduction to the place. On the plus side they did their best to remedy this and provided a different room with a view we could enjoy whilst sitting, albeit made available only on our 4th day. One particular issue was that room service wasn’t available despite this being a four star rating requirement and one of the reasons why we picked this place. Overall, the hotel and facilities are very tired and need a big makeover. It’s also badly understaffed: evidenced by the room cleaning oversight on day one and from what we saw only one cleaner per floor in what is a 100 room hotel. However, I hasten to add that the cleaning ladies were lovely and did their very best during what must be very, very long shifts for them. Equally, the staff at the bottom floor bar were charming. The management really need to get their act together and spend a bit of money on this place, spruce it up, and employ an adequate number of staff . As it stands, the hotel in its present state has a decidedly hostel feel about it: I was particularly peeved by the lack of staff available to help with our bags, nor did the receptionist offer to get a staff member to help us, especially as my partner has a blatantly obvious disability and requires a walking aid. It’s just not 4 star. "
