Beachfront family gem

This modern hotel is set in a location worth shouting about. Right on the beach – a sandy Blue-Flagged number – in Benalmadena, it's just a short walk from the swish yacht marina and a slew of shops, bars, and restaurants. 

With the lively resort on the doorstep, you might be surprised that the complex has got a tucked-away feel thanks to the tranquil setting amongst tropical gardens. And plonked amidst the palm trees, parasols, and sun loungers, you'll find three swim spots. Plus, there's a splash park that's perfect for little ones. 

If you're all about keeping busy, the animations team are on hand will a daily roster of activities like quizzes, games, and sports. Relaxation, on the other hand, is best found in the serene surroundings of the spa, which also lines up an indoor pool. 

A pair of restaurants will ensure you never go hungry. The first is an international buffet joint that lays on bountiful spreads at mealtimes, while the second place offers a set menu if you feel like treating yourself to something a little different. And thanks to the snack bar by the pool and the lounge in the lobby, drinks won't be hard to come by, either. 

Once the sun sinks below the horizon, you're well-placed for experiencing the pubs and clubs of the buzzy resort centre, so why not stroll out and see where takes your fancy? There's usually some action on offer back at base, too, with the likes of nightly live music and mini discos for tots.
