Resort El Rompido The Club

"Location would maybe not be for a younger generation looking for a party town. However, for more senior golfers who like a quiet pint it was absolutely perfect. We were half board with free drinks after 5 pm, truly exceptional value in this day and age. Rooms were spotless and cleaned every day. Buffet was maybe not as varied as other hotels but what was provided was of excellent quality and you would always find something, the fish was excellent every night, as were the desserts. I prefer higher quality than more options. The staff were very friendly and efficient, you never had to wait to get a drink, which is not the case in all resorts. North and South Course both excellent, bring plenty of balls for the South Course, for a Society it could be the one to play a Team Event on. La Marcella was a little bare on the fairways but was very high handicapper friendly. Bellavista was a fantastic course in superb condition as well."

"Service was poor in the bar and the dining room as there were insufficient staff to accommodate the guests. very few of the staff were engaging and had a general lack of customer focus. Hotel was dominated by large groups who at times were rowdy and offensive yet there were no management around to manage them. In a supposed 5* hotel , it is disappointing to have to queue to access the dining room and queue for food, which was plentiful but tasteless."
