"Valentin Sancti Petri is a beautiful resort. The hotel has a high end feel and has excellent restaurants on site. The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. When the entertainment finishes, the hotel is quiet and we all slept very well. The reception staff are friendly, helpful and spoke excellent English. Special mention to Lydia who helped us to make telephone reservations when our Spanish wasn’t quite up to the challenge! The animation team are outstanding, tireless, and go out of their way to give everyone (especially the children) a fantastic time. Activities take place throughout the day and there is music and a performance in the evening. The hotel has predominantly Spanish families, and as you would expect, the entertainment is in Spanish, but the well known international themes like Mamma Mia and Disney make the entertainment accessible to everyone. The hotel has a walkway to the beach and the beach is incredible! Beautiful golden sand stretching for miles. There are sun beds and parasols available through the hotel’s beach restaurant ‘Vava’ but they are very, very expensive at 36€ for two (front line - the price reduces if you choose beds further back but not by very much!) We treated ourselves once but couldn’t justify paying that amount again which was a shame. Spanish families take their own beach chairs and shade. The families who come to this resort are respectful of each other and the environment, and there is a wonderful sense of community and camaraderie. There are shops and a small number of restaurants within a 15 - 20 minute walk from the hotel and quite a lot if you can walk for around 30 minutes. Some restaurants are better than others and prices are generally quite high. Do some research and make sure you book in advance because the best restaurants will be full! Drinks at the hotel are expensive so make sure you budget for this, but the breakfast buffet is outstanding and offers a really good selection of high quality food. We didn’t try the lunch or evening buffet but the food served at the à la cart restaurants we tried was exceptional - the blue fin tuna at Vava was unlike any tuna we have ever eaten before! My daughter in law celebrated her birthday whilst we were staying at the hotel and she was treated to flowers and wine - it made the occasion very special. Thank you! Overall we had a truly wonderful experience at Valentin Sancti Petri and we’re already planning to return next year!"
