"We didn't stay at the guest house. We didn't have the English cream tea (you must make a reservation to guarantee you get in). But the tea offerings looked lovely. The nursery is not huge, but there are some very interesting varieties displayed and for sale. Phlox is apparently a specialty, and there were varieties I've never seen in person. There is a somewhat rustic garden to ramble in to your heart's content. There is a gift shop with lovely things, unfortunately a great proportion not made in Vermont, and many in China. Recommend a visit if you are in the area."

"Large selection of potted perennial plants suitable for the climate in Northern New England. Most are varieties that you won't find in your local big box store. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful. They have especially large selection of phlox. They have several acres of field grown plants that allow you to see the plant in a more natural setting, also allows you to see how these plants might grown in a setting with other plants. I go for the plants but there is also a nice gift shop and restaurant for tea and crumpets (or similar fair). "

"Spent several hours there, eating lunch (having tea) and walking the gardens. Also made a purchase of a plant. The lunch, a quiche, was very tasty. Many teas to choose from, with coffee or ice tea/coffee available as well. Did not have room for dessert! We went without a reservation - a mistake - but they squeezed us in. Beautiful gardens during the first two weeks of August."
