Hotel Rosamar & Spa

"We have recently just returned home from a week’s stay at this hotel and unfortunately it’s certainly not a 4 star. We arrived early morning and check in wasn’t available until 2pm which was expected. However we wasn’t directed anywhere on where we would freshen up and get changed. Originally we were allocated a room on the 4th floor with a balcony that did not feel safe for our two year old. The reception team helped us and allocated us a room on the 1st floor which was much better. However we was slightly offended when it was assumed we was going to him leave him in the room on his own! The rooms themselves were basic and could definitely do with a bit of TLC. There was hardly any room to move one the travel cot was up and we had to store our suitcase outside as there was no other space. Our plug socket was hanging off and just pushed back into place each day. On four l different occasions my parents room was left without power sometimes up to half hour which meant they couldn’t get ready in the evening on time. There wasn’t any real urgency to get this fixed or an apology. The pool area is very small and only around 30 sun loungers. If you don’t there early enough you will not get a space around the pool at all which is such a shame. The life guard moved towels on one day if they were unoccupied for over 15 minutes but only saw this once. There is plenty of loungers up the top however this is 18+ so we were unable to use them. Some days it seemed as though all the life guard wanted to do was tell people off. No inflatables allowed in the pool, I got told off for going down a slide with my toddler when it was quiet. My partner also moved his sun lounger only slightly so he could get some sun (most of them are in the shade all day) and he immediately got told off. We were half board and we couldn’t fault the food! There were lots of variety and different dishes each evening. They were always fresh and topped up continuously. There were some really lovely staff working in the restaurant! However one evening a waiter was extremely rude when I used the toilets and came back to join my family he expected me to queue right to the back again and wait to be spoken to. A couple of nights we did pop into the Rosmar gardens hotel for the entertainment which was a nice option to have. The hotel is in a great location very close to the beach."

"Very nice hotel . Location is just perfect on the beach and in the city. Personnel is very friendly and helpful. Food is good. One minus: The parking is awailable but too expensive 21 Euro per day and one nerd to pay for the whole stay. As the hotel is not new there are some minor things in the bathroom which can be improved but nothing for those who are not expexting luxury new staff."
