Hotel Lloret Santa Rosa by Pierre & Vacances

"We stayed at Hotel Lloret Santa Rosa for 4 days and overall had a pleasant stay. Our room was clean and perfectly adequate for what we needed. We had a balcony, although we met a few other guests who didn’t have one, so if having a balcony is important to you, I would definitely check before booking. One downside was the noise. On both sides of our room we had what sounded like teenagers playing loud music, shouting and squealing, which could be quite disruptive at times. This may just have been during our particular stay, but it’s something to bear in mind. The hotel is bed and breakfast, although you can purchase an evening meal for €15 per person per night once you arrive. We didn’t try the evening meal, so unfortunately can’t comment on it. We only ate breakfast at the hotel once. It was okay — the usual selection of eggs, beans, Spanish sausages, bread, ham, yoghurt, croissants and drinks. Nothing particularly special, but enough to get you started for the day. The rooftop area has a small, deep pool, sunbeds, seating and a bar. The pool is very small, so I wouldn’t choose this hotel specifically if you’re looking to spend your days around a pool. The biggest disappointment for us was the price of the food and drinks at the rooftop bar. We found them ridiculously expensive, especially considering how many reasonably priced bars and restaurants are surrounding the hotel. We went up for around an hour on our first evening but didn’t return because of the prices. The views from the hotel aren’t anything special, but I think that’s probably to be expected in this part of Lloret unless you’re staying directly on the seafront. The location is excellent. The beach is a 3 minute walk and you can actually see it through the alley when you come out the hotel. The hotel It’s in a quieter area, but you’re only minutes away from the main party strip. We went down there one evening, but it was very busy with teenagers, so we preferred spending our evenings in the town at the bars and restaurants. There is a shop directly behind 'Carrefours', great for anything you need. There are also some great places within walking distance. The church is definitely worth a visit, as are the castle and monument — all were around a 5–10 minute walk from the hotel for us. We didn’t see a huge amount in the way of excursions while we were there, although we were mainly enjoying the town and exploring on foot. One place we would highly recommend is La Habana. We had a steak dinner with fries, mushrooms and egg, along with two drinks, and the total was only around £28 for the two of us. The food was beautiful, the atmosphere was calm and relaxed, and the staff went above and beyond. Definitely worth a visit if you’re staying in Lloret. A couple of other things worth knowing if you’re visiting Lloret: cigarettes aren’t generally sold in normal shops — you need to use a tobacco shop — and we found them surprisingly expensive. Overall: Hotel Lloret Santa Rosa is a clean and well-located base for exploring Lloret. There are some things that could be improved, particularly the rooftop prices and the noise we experienced, but the location makes it convenient for both the quieter parts of town and the nightlife. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it as a base if you’re planning to spend most of your time out exploring rather than at the hotel."

"Staying here ATM. Honestly a really great hotel for the price. Clean, comfortable and in a good spot just of the front. We are room only, so can't comment on meals, but have enjoyed the rest of our stay. Rooftop bar is a lovely space to watch the sun down, much bigger than expected. Hotel is minutes from the beach yet still in a fairly quiet street. Have spent lots of time on our balcony enjoying the sun whilst also being barely overlooked. Would visit again."

"Hotel room was very spacious and spotless for the four of us - Two double beds. (12yr & 9yr old with us). Fridge in the room & lovely walk in shower. Breakfast had a massive selection & everyone managed to find something to suit them. Very central but on a quiet street which was perfect. The beach was not even 100m away. Very cheap for the three nights! Will come again!"
