"It’s a cheap hotel near the old town, we had zero expectations as it was 3 star. Our apartment was clean, plenty of towels. We used the pool at the main hotel, no issues. I would say though that they don’t like the English, got treated very differently from other nationalities by the staff, the animation team and other guests also looked down their noses. Location, price and cleanliness it was fine."

"We stayed in the apartments managed by Poseidon, and unfortunately, our experience was far from smooth. Finding the place was confusing from the start — we first entered the main hotel, only to be redirected to another building for check-in, and then had to walk up the road again to reach the actual apartments. The security of the room was concerning; the door felt very flimsy and not secure at all. We were given only two keys between four people, which quickly became an issue. One night, one of our friends went back to the room early with one key, and we mistakenly thought someone else had the second. When we returned, we realized we were locked out and couldn’t wake our friend. We went to reception for help, but the night porter simply told us we’d have to wait until morning for our friend to wake up. When we asked if he had a spare or master key, he said no — which was shocking. Even though we understood it was partly our mistake, the lack of assistance was unacceptable. Thankfully, our friend eventually woke up and let us in, but the staff made no effort to help at all. On top of that, there was no housekeeping during our stay — no bed sheets changed, and guests are expected to buy their own toilet paper. Overall, the place felt poorly managed and unwelcoming. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend staying here."

"My husband and I arrived late in the evening to the hotel, the reception staff were polite but spoke very little English. We were told there was a £150 room damage charge that MUST be put on a bank card not paid in cash. We had the money but some families may not! We were directed to go back out of the entrance and turn right to find our room, which we did and ended up around the back of the hotel through another entrance, we went to level 4 to find that the rooms are key carded and we just had a normal key, so we found our way back to the reception where the staff still couldn't explain clearly where we were stayin for the week. A member of staff near by was told the problem in Spanish who then took us 2 minutes up the road to a sister hotel. (Throughout the week I saw a few groups of English people doing the same thing) The room was old and nothing like the pictures we had seen on the website with the company we had booked with. But the beds were clean along with the bathroom etc so we didnt ask to move. How ever a few early morning wake up calls were given to us by English people singing at 4 and 6am which is something we didnt appreciate. The main hotel and pool area is dedicated to Spanish elderly people who don't appreciate the English being there on numerous occasions I tried to help in situations only to be grunted at. The entertainment staff were lovely and asked us a few times if we wished to join activities however the member of staff who works in the bar adjoining the main pool is nothing but obnoxious, I was ignored when I said hello or asked how we was only to be told the price of the drink I'd asked for. He really needs retraining on customer service. Our return flight wasn't until late at night with our transfer collecting us at 7pm. We checked out at 10am and asked about the £150 we had taken off our card only to be told it could take upto 2 weeks for it show up on our account!!! We spent the day sunbathing by the pool, I asked where we could get showered before being picked up and the reception said to use the outside pool shower as there isn't a seperate shower room. Ive never experienced this before as all other hotels ive stayed in have these facilities. So I ended up washing myself and hair in a toilet bathroom sink!!!! We liked Benidorm itself and will definitely come back but will not use this hotel."
