Poseidon Resort

"I LOVE this resort, its small, very clean, rooms are cleaned daily, staff are lovely, location is perfect, close to old town and only a 5 minute walk to the start of the strip. We've stayed here before and would definitely stay again. Last stay we were B&B, this time SC so cant comment on the food. My only negative is the pool / sun lounger situation. I've watched people from my balcony put towels down at 8am and not return to the bed until gone 2pm. People who have secured beds in multiple spots and moved to them as the sun moves around the pool. The staff should be removing towels after an hour of not being used. It spoils it for others who have no chance of getting a lounger for the day."

"When we got to the resort we were told that check in was at 4 and that we were booked in another section of the hotel so we left our bags and went out for a look around. On returning after 4 we were then told that we had to pay a deposit of €150 for damage/breakages etc which would be returned once the room was checked at the end of the stay. This was unexpected, then we were told we had to put wristbands on to use all the facilities in that hotel as our room was in another building down the road!!! We chose that hotel because of the pictures we saw on their website and thought they looked lovely and modern. Ok, not happy about this at all, we got to this hotel, couldn’t get internet. We saw the maid once for clean towels and then at the end of the stay. It seemed like they were putting all British people in this hotel and the Spanish in the nicer resort."

"Ignore the negative reviews, it’s a good hotel for the price. Staff were really friendly, room was cleaned every day, and the food was very reasonable. The pool area is a sun trap and there are always lots of loungers available. Hotel is perfect distance from the nightlife and the old town so you can experience both with no hassle. The only advice I would give is that the outdoor pool is not heated so if you go in spring time like we did it might be a bit nippy for some. Overall we had a lovely time."
