"Hotel itself was nice and clean, staff friendly. Food always cold, there is a microwave but should you have to heat up everything when it’s just come off the ‘hot’ counter? Salad bar is good but if boiled eggs were out they went in 30 seconds and no more after that. So cheese salad again! Pool area is nothing like the picture, beds tired and need renewing, uncomfy and sunken, tiles on walkway all broken and dangerous so beware if wearing flip flops I nearly tripped and fell twice. Sadly will not be returning mainly because of the food"

"Lovely spacious room bed comfy.. thats about it to be honest.. gutted we went all inclusive the food was awful! We ate out every day. Not really catered for the english, mainly spainsh older folk who throw you dirty looks for being yourself! Enertainment rubbish- what entertainment? Again not catered for different nationalities, they cancelled karaoke to put line dancing on.. age rage 60 plus.. pool rubbish! Tiles on floor trip hazard accident waiting to happen. Very run down, chairs dirty. And the pool bar wasnt open at all meaning you had to go down 5 floors to grab a drink and take it back up in a flimsy plastic cup, wearing most of it. Staff were nice- ish! Location wise ok.. 10 min walk to beach front.. 7euro to the party strip"

"Honest review from a family of 4: Hotel Olympus was very nice! We booked last year without reading any reviews; we just saw that it was 4 stars and not in the loud part of Benidorm. About 5 months before we went on our holiday, we looked at some of the reviews and were shocked at what people were being negative about. After reading these, we tried to change hotels due to these poor reviews; however, we could not change hotels. We dreaded getting to the hotel, to be honest, but upon arrival (you do get dropped off outside a different hotel due to not being able to fit large vehicles down the road outside of the hotel), we were greeted in the middle of the night by a kind man who checked us in quickly and said there was food saved for us downstairs. We checked into our room (family room) and were very surprised. It was clean, 4 separate beds instead of 2 doubles like it was listed, and the bathroom was lovely. Shampoo and body wash are provided in the shower, along with some personal care goodies such as a shaving kit, toothbrush and toothpaste. The next morning we went down for breakfast and were very happy with the choices they had on offer, from a full English breakfast, fruit, pancakes, omelettes being show-cooked, etc. 3 coffee machines (one hidden round the corner with coffee beans rather than instant coffee was a hidden gem). There were a lot of locals in the hotel, but that didn't affect us. We explored the pool and bar on the roof, which was open from 11 until 7ish. The pool was cold but refreshing. The barman, Angel, was amazing at providing us with drinks and snacks throughout the day. The lunches every day were something different, but also something for everyone. As a family of fussy eaters, we never went away hungry. Evening dinner was lovely, always something for everyone to eat, a wide variety. Desserts got repetitive at times, but they were always nice. You knew it was going to be a good evening meal when you walked downstairs and saw the well-loved chocolate fountain with a variety of dipping items such as marshmallows and melon. It was a 10-minute walk to the beach (with a slow walker). The hotel is overall very good and I would visit again. The staff were lovely and so helpful. It was an amazing week, and I would recommend it."
