Magic Natura Waterpark & Polynesian Lodge Resort

"Do not be taken in by pictures of big water slides, they are in another part of the complex away from this hotel. We booked a a family of 7 into 2 Bali lodges with whirlpools. Did our research as we have a granddaughter in a wheelchair and hubby and I need mobility scooters. Got told on arrival that no Bali lodges were available and we would be given what they had till tomorrow. Tomorrow came and we were told that still no lodges were available so we would just be moved to the top of the hill, still no whirlpool. We paid 10k for his with UAI. Contacted Jet 2 and they got us moved, did a brilliant job, still 2 days of the holiday gone .The whirlpools were disgusting and both very brown and smelly, daughter got hers cleaned but they came on day 6 to do ours so never got it used. Food is quite good but not very hot. Eldest granddaughter cut her foot in the pool on a broken tile in the swimming pool and had to have 5 stitches. didn't close or clean the pool so that was very bad. It wasn't until day three we were given UAI wristbands so all in all would not recommend. The woman at the bar would just roll her eyes when we went for 7 drinks and one day we forgot our glasses and she would not let us buy anymore, The other two magics have been great but I would say steer clear of this."

"Run away!!!!! The only good reviews are from staff members that took the phones of guests at the Kids Club, while parents are tricked that they are reviewing that 1 staff member you are talking to but sneakily take your phone and give the entire park a glaring review. They tried to do that to us too, but I snatched my phone back just in time. We are so dissatisfied we contemplated asking for our money back and there I was looking at staff using my phone to give out the best possible review in our name! Fraudulent and Shameful! Literally everything is aweful, the food is un(der)cooked, unripe, from a few days ago, produce is either unripe or rotting, whatever isn’t finished by the guests (which is almost everything!!) is clearly destined to go to the zoo afterwards. The cabinswalls are nonexistent and can hear every interaction at the neighbors but no worries because until deep in the night, you will have drunk people bothering you constantly, people throwing up and falling while pushing their strollers/babies. This park is a nightmare, both outside as well as inside your lodge. Run away, book anything else than this place."

"Just back from a week, we were standard all inclusive. Overall the holiday was good but there was some drawbacks that stop me from rating it higher. Lodge: We stayed in a 2 bed Polynesian lodge and it was good, one "double" bed (two singles pushed together) and a separate room with a bunk bed in it, there was also 2 showers and toilets joined with an entrance at each room. Clean and tidy so cant complain there. the single bed mattresses were the comfiest memory foam mattresses I have ever slept on, but the pillows were soft and crap. The biggest downside to the accommodation is the fact it is up a rather steep hill which if you have mobility issues then good luck. There is a shuttle bus on site that goes between this hotel, and the pirate island hotel, meant to be on from 8am to 12.30 am yet goes on break at 5 just in time for the aqua park closing (makes total sense). We were lucky the few times stuck without a bus the on site golf buggies came by and took us to where we were going but without them we would have been stuck. Oh if you enjoy a morning cup of coffee then good luck, its only instant decaf in the room, there is a fridge but since we were normal pleb all inclusive we don't get that at all:( Entertainment: Not my cup of tea and most of the time it was the same for my 14yo daughter. The shows are half in Spanish and half English which is fine, but the actual content and half the time singers murdered the songs they were doing. Food: Can only comment on the number 3 restaurant as that is all we had access to but it was standard buffet affair and a lot of the time it was the same thing just slightly changed, If you like oil thought then you will love it, as quite a lot of the food especially plain pasta is coated in the stuff. Also its under really poor heat lamps and the plates are cold so by time you fight through the queues of people that can't decide what they want and get back to your table its either just warm or cold. Also whoever sets the electronic signs to describe the food either needs to be sacked or given English lessons as what they put 9/10 doesn't match or tell you what kind of meat it is. For example there was one night a dish of what looked to be razor clams, but the sign said Knives, Cheesecake labeled as "Rectangle Cake" when its a circle. There is an on site shop but it seems to charge the earth for things, as 2 x 1.5l bottle of water 4 x 500ml bottles of coke zero and a packet of Lays crisps was nearly 28 euros, better off getting the free transfer bus into benidorm and going into a market there. The zoo, was great nothing really bad about that, took us 2 days to do the full thing as its massive. Water park, other than the pool being colder than the antarctic and the life guards loving to blow their whistle ever 5 seconds, again is fine, my daughter loved it. My biggest warning to anyone going is take fly spray as my god the number of flies at the reception area and the main pool is unbearable, I understand its in the hills and right next to a zoo so can't be helped, but they really need to do something about it, as can't relax and sunbathe without being swarmed. Overall its an ok place to stay, i don't get the 4 stars as any other 4 star place i have been to has been infinitely better and doesn't have the stupid tier system for all inclusive. get rid of that, get rid of the flies and have a bit of a refurb of the place and then it would be worthy of the 4 stars."
