Magic Cristal Park Hotel

"We have returned today from a week at this hotel, we have had a fab time, myself and my 17 year old daughter travelled. • The roof top sunbathing is amazing, a proper sun trap. • they are clearly short staffed but the staff they have are great and really friendly, especially in the restaurant and in the magic bar. • rooms and areas are clean, bit dated and some tiles need replacing ect but overall clean • we really enjoyed the food, the selection was good and the paella was the best 😍 As others have said a couple of the lifts don’t work, which does mean waiting for a lift takes a long time, also one member of staff on each bar is not great - there is quite often a 10/15 min wait for a drink. There are some feral kids and parents though, the kids are left to run riot in the restaurants and bars whilst the parents just get drunk, there is a lovely jacuzzi that’s clearly says “no children” but everytime you went to go in it was full of children splashing about, none of this was the hotels fault though, just parents not being parents 🥹 The hotel would maybe benefit from a lifeguard/security round the pools. The walls of the rooms are extremely thin, we could even hear our neighbour snoring and her child was one of the feral ones and really noisy. We also have to go in half term as my daughter is at college. We have had the best week together though and made some amazing memories, I probably wouldn’t go back - but not because of the hotel - because of the guests staying at the hotel."

"We arrived 1 am ish to a massive check in queue and only 1 member of staff . Took an hour to get our key . The room we had been allocated stunk of a sewage smell . Went down to reception but again a new massive queue , by this point it was 3am and I was exhausted . We slept over night and complained the next day . Waited all day for maintenance to come and they said building work was required do we asked for a new room . We were given same style room but with park view . Asked for bedding for sofa bed but was told these aren’t there to be a bed 🤔 which would mean someone bed less as adult son and teenage son weren’t sharing . Maid gave us some bedding and we pulled it out . Very old sofa but made do ! Lifts - only 2 out of 4 work . Suffer with back/knee/hip issues and the stairs have near in killed me ! You wait forever for a lift . Dinner is on -1 and pool /roof bar on 7 , reception 0 , massive demand for just 2 lifts !!! Not really providing an adequate service ! Food - breakfast is ok . Lunch and dinner was Spanish aimed and limited food brits would actually enjoy ! Most was tasteless and disappointing ! Very Spanish orientated hotel . They seem to get better service then rest of us ! Maids - fantastic , can’t fault their hard work at all !! Rooftop - limited seating/beds for amount of guests . Hot tub says adult only but constantly full of kids . English bar - entertainment is poor , 1 bar man working so wait a long time for drinks . Full of biting flies in the English bar and have been eaten alive . Very disappointing stay ! Would not recommend I’m afraid . Benidorm is a great destination just not at this hotel . We have renamed it the Tragic crystal park hotel"

"The hotel was in need of modernizing, the restaurants were on basement level which meant you needed to get the lifts to your floor, however these lifts took forever to arrive and when they did they would take you everywhere but where you wanted to go, this frustrated a lot of other guests as well. The bar in the evening was packed and they only had one member of staff working which meant waiting again, sometimes you could be in the queue for 20 -30 minutes. The WiFi was extremely poor and only worked in certain parts of the hotel (obviously it didn't work in our room). Would definitely consider your options before booking this hotel all though a 3 star hotel we have stayed in 2 star hotels which are much more nicer also in Benidorm."
