Hotel Villa Espana

"Well we’re do I start I visited Benidorm multiple times and this has to be the worst hotel here..on check in the receptionist was rude I requested a ground floor as my 77 year old walks with a walking stick…was told we’re on the 4th floor that was it,the first night the manager is ringing me at 10pm to confirm my booking lucky I had email confirmation as I was told with out it I’d have to leave The swim down pool bar wasn’t even filled with water,the roof top pool was full of bugs and didn’t even look like it gets clean. Was never told you have to pay deposit for cups or you can’t have a drink…..absolutely no children’s entertainment. The biggest thing I asked for when booking the hotel….cant get an alcoholic drink at the pool you have to either go reception bar ground floor or go all the way to the 7th floor…food was more or less the same for breakfast lunch and dinner everyone I spoke to while here said the same as me and wouldn’t be returning… the hotel is clean and rooms always done but the hotel it’s self has let its self down definitely not a place I’d be recommending to anyone"

"The hotel was clean comfortable and the rooms and balconies were perfect. The buffet meals offered variety and great quality. It was also situated near The Old Town and ditectly oposite the beach."

"This hotel is unsure of how it wants to be thought of. It is beautiful inside but did not live up to our expectations of a 4star hotel. We went all AI, not our best decision. 90% of drink was branded, which was brilliant, the same can't be the said for the food. It wasn't very good, but they seemed to serve the same every evening under different names. Breakfast was ok, could normally find something to eat, lunch was very samey as well. Chipped glasses, dirty washed plates. Dinning room was set out like a school canteen and nothing seemed to run in order, easily get in at least 1000 steps just to get your meal! There was a pool on the roof, actually it said 2, but neither were deep or big enough to swim in, barely enough water to cover you in the very top pool it was that tiny. Never found out how to get to get to the kids pool yet, not that we needed to. Sunbeds, well it was the 1st time that we have had to pay a deposit to get a sunbed, very strange. Not enough sunbeds, if you weren't there at 10, too bad. The bar staff and the restaurant staff were brilliant, never seen so many rude people before in a hotel, but they just carried on. Would we go back, definitely not, much better hotels for less in Benidorm."
